This time, she quickly stepped through the door into the cold outdoors. Her tail wrapped around her to keep herself from getting too cold but the temperature was actually nice for her. Being an arctic fox had it's advantages!
She waited for Kosuke just outside of the door. "Thank you!" When he was through, she took hold of the hem of his shirt again. Kosuke seemed to get lost in his own thoughts for a moment, so Lissette looked up and down the street watching the people who were coming and going. If she could, Lissette would like to sit and watch all the people walking by simply because there were so many people she didn't know! And everyone was so unique.
As they crossed the street, she took hold of his hand so she wouldn't lose him. His hand was bigger than hers but it was warm, maybe because the shop had been warm or maybe because he messed with his scarf a lot. She wasn't sure why but she turned red as she thought about it. When they reached the other side of the street she let go and looked down at the ground, having to recover from the contact.
When they got to the other shop, he opened the door for her again. She said thank you again before stepping through into the warm shop. Unlike the jewelry store, there were a few customers inside, one was even an urakata. The shop was covered in holiday items, or so she assumed from the expanse of red and green. Kosuke's smile brought her away from the vibrant shop back to reality. Her expression went from amazed to excited, her tail wagging once again.
"There's so many wonderful things in here! But... I don't know what wrapping paper looks like..." She had an apologetic look on her face. Lissette really wished she knew more than she did but she wasn't sure what wrapping paper would look like and all the colors in the shop were so mesmerizing she couldn't really focus on each particular item.

| Holding hands with the fox simply made him feel a little more warm and he smiled a bit more. But he didn't have much time to contemplate the feeling due to being distracted by her commentary. Didn't know what wrapping paper looks like? That...Well, it made sense, of course. She had never celebrated Christmas, why would she know what wrapping paper looks like? He flushed a bit more. "Oh, r-right! No, I'm sorry. Here, let me show you..." Straightening his posture and smoothing one hand through his hair, he smiled at her sheepishly before turning to lead the way down one of the nearby aisles of the shop. There were many different tube rolls of paper. Different patterns and colors were arranged in a wide array across the stands. Glancing over to Lissette to check on how she was taking everything in, he couldn't help but smile all over again when he seen her tail revving up again.
"Should we go with, um, something red and green since those are the normal Christmas colors?" He hummed as he glanced at a few different styles of red-and-green paper. One had little Christmas stockings on it and the other was an gingham pattern. "Or maybe something with snowflakes?" Kosuke tilted his head as he spotted a roll of white glossy wrapping paper with silvery snowflakes printed on them. "It, um, it matches your hair," The programmer commented with a soft laugh, beaming slightly.
"And once we pick out some paper we can, um...pick out ribbons or bows to put on top of the presents..." Trailing off, he nodded towards where there were some of the mentioned accessories on a rack near the end of the aisle. Glancing back to Lissette, he tilted his head curiously, waiting to see what her thoughts and input were.

She had expected him to turn red or get shy at her hand holding but he didn't. Lissette took this as a sign that he was comfortable around her now. It was good that she was able to help him get comfortable. She was happy that she could do that for him.
She waved her hands at his apology. "It's alright, there's no need to be sorry. You are teaching me more than I thought I'd ever learn about Christmas so it's nothing to be sorry for." It was true, she had very little knowledge on the holiday but there was no way for Kosuke to know what she did and didn't know. It was better that she ask questions, that way she could learn what she needed and interact with Kosuke too.
He lead her to the most beautiful sections she had ever seen. There were rolls of paper on either side of the aisle. There were many different colors and patterns, all of them bright and lovely. How would she be able to choose just one!? Her tail went to wagging again as she looked on with amazement. Christmas was very magical!
She heard Kosuke's words but could only reply with a simple nod as she carefully touched one of the rolls as if it were the most delicate thing in the world. It felt smooth to the touch, not like any paper she had felt before.
His compliment was what pulled her out of her reverie. She turned red again. Her ears dropped low on each side of her head. "Thank you." To have such pretty paper matching her made her very proud of her hair. She went to the paper he mentioned and touched it. She turned to him and smiled. "We could use white bows! Or maybe they have white ones with blue snowflakes on them, that would match the paper."
With her choice decided, Lissette picked up the roll of paper and turned to Kosuke. "I'll go with this one because it will make it easier for Lylia to know it's from me!"

| He was spending most of this trip either being flushed from embarrassment or amused, with the occasional spike of his anxiety and nerves. The latter seemed to be coming on less and less since there was so much to be sidetracked by, and he bit back another laugh as he watched her tail. Her reactions were just...Well, she was like a kid in a candy store, wasn't she? It took him a moment to realize he was staring a bit, and he shook his head at himself, awkwardly clearing his throat before glancing somewhere else. He just couldn't help it, when the canine was happy she was so adorable and...He curled the fingers of his free hand about the edges of his scarf and let out a low exhale.
Stop over-thinking things, Kosuke.
Shifting the weight of the bag of their earlier purchases on his arm, he glanced back up to his companion. Hearing she wanted to go with the one he pointed out, he nodded, "That sounds like a good idea, um...hmm..." Pivoting on his heels, he padded to the end of the aisle so he could look over the bows. Always mindful to make sure he wasn't leaving her behind too far. He didn't want her to feel lost or anything of the sort. White bows, white bows...Aha! Snatching up a little package of bows, he turned in Lissette's direction and held them out for consideration.
"What about these?" They were small, but a bright white with little blue snowflakes and northern stars on them. "I think they'd go good with the, um, paper...And they're not too big..."

She followed Kosuke like a puppy, her tail wagging and her face bright. She looked at the bows and ribbons and found them just as vibrant as the papers. With so many choices each present would never need to look the same! She wasn't sure if she would ever spot the one she had in mind but Kosuke found them no problem. He turned to her with them and Lissette took them in hand. They were adorable! She loved them.
"These are perfect!" She hugged Kosuke around his neck, a small and quick one before pulling away and holding the bows back up to see the snowflakes glitter in the light. "Thank you! I never would have spotted them!" She giggled before putting them back down.
Lissette didn't quite register that she had hugged him, she'd been so excited that she hadn't noticed. With the paper in hand and the bows, she proceeded straight to the attendant standing behind a cash register. She present him with her selections. At first, the man looked a bit uneasy about her random appearance but her merry mood even had him smiling as he took the money she offered and put the paper and bows into a bag. Lissette gave the man a few flowers and suggested that he give them out to customers before she turned away.
She then went to Kosuke with the bag resting on the same arm as her basket. Her smile was still bright, she wanted to learn how to wrap her gifts now.
"I've ought the paper and bows so will you teach me to wrap them? I can practice on mine!"

| "Oh..." It was the only thing he could think to stutter when he was so suddenly hugged, his face flushing a dark pink. He didn't have much time to react though as soon she was off with the selections in tow. Smiling a bit, he rubbed at the back of his neck awkwardly for a moment before glancing around. There was a couple things they still needed...But he'd find them while she got the rest of it purchased. Stepping out of the aisle, he hummed quietly as he looked around, gaze drifting here and there and oh...There, that's what they needed. Grabbing a small pair of scissors and a package of scotch tape, he wandered up behind Lissette and bit back a small chuckle.
Really, he had to wonder if her tail ever got tired, going as fast as it did when she seemed to be so happy or excited. When she finished buying the paper and turned towards him, he smiled wide and nodded to her. "Of--Of course I will, just let me grab these really quick, um okay?" He held up the scissors and tape then stepped up to the cashier's counter after her. It was a quick exchange of money for the items and he soon had another bag around his arm. Turning back to the fox, he tilted his head slightly and smiled a little more.
"Alright, now all we need is...um...a flat place to wrap things on. I think, um, there's a cafe down the street from here that has outdoor tables we could use, maybe...?" As he walked towards the front of the store, he glanced back to her. "Does that sound okay to you?" Opening the door, he held it for her and smiled a little more. Wishing he could will the pinkness in his cheeks to go away.

She was a bit curious what else was needed but she smiled and nodded as he went to get what else was required. Lissette was very cheery now. She had learned so much today and there was still so much she could learn! It was nice to have someone who was willing to teach her.
She noted the scissors and tape in his hands and it made sense that they would need something like that. Maybe she should have realized that? Then again, Lissette was sure that Kosuke wouldn't think less of her since she didn't know much about Christmas to begin with.
Her tail stopped wagging as he spoke. A cafe table outside? It was a bit chilly but she liked the cold. Her concern was about Kosuke. He didn't seem to like the cold, or that's what she thought since he wore his scarf even indoors. She held the bag and her basket in her hands as she thought a moment before nodding.
"Alright, and if it gets too cold we can go inside and get something hot to warm us up." When he opened the door for her, she didn't think twice about stepping out ahead of him. She was finding his pleasant manners as more and more comforting. In a way, it made Lissette feel like he was treating her like an equal and not a slave to be ordered around and looked down on. Once again she was baffled by how kind humans could be which left her confused as to how many of them could be cruel and harsh.
It seemed that even as she learned new things, she found new questions that needed to be answered. The small girl waited for Kosuke to lead the way.

| A small chuckle escaped the programmer, and he bobbed his head in a nod as they stepped outside. "Okay, that's--that's a good plan, I think!" Hot cocoa or something after wrapping presents did sound really good right about now. He smiled gently and stepped out further onto the sidewalk, glancing over his shoulder to make sure Lissette was still there. Ah, this was going to make such a good story to tell Takehiko! He was really excited. And it was all in all a good experience so far, despite his tendency for awkwardness. A smile lingered on his face as he walked down in the direction of the cafe. The wind was a bit chilly but it gave him a little pep and motivation to work quickly. "Aha!" There the cafe was! It had a bunch of little outdoor tables that people could use although with winter setting in many people were inside.
"Here we go," Kosuke said to his companion with an enthused nod, stepping up to an empty table. He set down the bags and pulled out the charm boxes as well as the scissors and tape. Once everything was set out to one side, he patted the open space remaining on the table and smiled up to Lissette encouragingly. "Let's take out the wrapping paper and roll it out here, alright?" Sure, he could have reached over into her bag and done it, but that was rude...And besides that, the more hands on experience he could help the canine with, the better! He was supposed to be teaching her, right? And what better way to teach than to help her do it rather than do it for her.
