[SHINKANSEN] miyamoto sekai

ABILITIES
Eyesight. Sekai is capable of seeing colors on the spectrum that humans and other urakata save for her own kind can only dream of; she sees everything as sharp and clear, and can see a far distance away while being able to take in any details that she needs to; her eyesight is a boon, and is rather fantastic, often utilized.

Punches. Her biggest secret, her biggest strength; Miyamoto Sekai punches like is expected of a Mantis Shrimp, that being primarily two things: faster than the eye can follow, than any eye can really follow, and being strong enough to smash through steel. Her punches are blurs, and move so quickly that they produce gunshot sounds. It is not a joke that the last thing many have heard has been a gunshot sound and then just nothingness, but the gunshot, of course, was the sound of their friend being punched in the face, their head being torn from their shoulders; their own punch is silent, because she produces the sound after it has been completed.

The story of Miyamoto Sekai begins off the coast of a small fishing town with a man and a woman who fell in love, their lives remaining as secret as they could manage them, having to keep them far away from humans; their hair appeared white to the humans but, to one another, was bright and beautiful, multi-colored and shimmering, and the two mantis shrimp urakata fell in love, between them having many, many children; Miyamoto Sekai was neither the first nor the last, but she came decently down the line and found herself in a loving, supportive family environment; the young parents had no thought about the danger of having such a large brood nor did they consider the hatred of humans.

When the humans discovered the woman and the man, they pretended not to know they had discovered a brood of Urakata, and instead laid low until their brood was many and incredibly hard to hide; the humans then swept from the hills, with weapons, with fire and weaponry; Miyamoto Sekai watched the waves she had lived by her whole life turn dark, dark red with the blood of her father and mother and siblings. Out of the massive brood only six made it to the treeline, out of those six, only three made it away, and out of three, only one survived the first year in the wild, and that one was Miyamoto Sekai. The first Urakata was documented in nineteen ninety two, perhaps, but Miyamoto Sekai had lost her family to superstitious villagers long beforehand.

Dreaming about the things that we could be.

Miyamoto Sekai traveled inland, her clothing tattered rags, and spun a tale to a small town about being the sole survivor of a travelling family who had been attacked by a wild beast, a pack of feral hounds. She fell in easily with this family despite her pure white hair, and Miyamoto Sekai lived happily amongst the humans, forgiving them the murder of her family (though forgiving did not stop the nightmares of blood-soaked waters) because they had been afraid, and not even Sekai herself coped well with being afraid! She knew fear was a strong, dangerous thing, even then.

It wasn't long before Miyamoto Sekai found herself falling in love with a girl; her hair was dark and lovely, with shimmering shades within it, glorious tones, and Sekai courted the girl honestly and fairly, rather happy to do so, and the girl went along with her, and their hands held, their lips touched; Sekai was happy there, with this girl, by name of Maria Aschland; Sekai held Maria close and told her the tales her parents had spun, doing so happily, proud to share herself with the girl she treasured; but when Maria was proposed to by a man who was jealous, Sekai was pushed out of the picture rather ruthlessly. She went sick with love, with envy, with a broken heart; with that poison in her, Sekai spoke out against Maria and the man who had taken her; the two of them retaliated by beating Sekai to near-death. The mantis shrimp left town once she had recovered, and for the next twenty years spent life a nomad, a wanderer, going here and there, living off of the land, off of what could be given.

During her wanderings, Miyamoto Sekai found and took possession of a single guitar; at the age of forty-five she'd learned how to play it like an expert, and she made some yen by playing rhythm, singing softly on the edges of society, her voice strong and healthy; her fingers worked the strings effortlessly by the end of her freedom, and by the time she was discovered as an urakata--in the year 1993--she was making headline performances at various places; once she was found, things went very strange for Miyamoto Sekai and they went so quickly; her life as she knew it was over and she was taken to the auction house, gathered up, but her beatings went unnoticed, and it was here that Miyamoto Sekai was discovered to have CIPA--the inability to feel pain and the inability to sweat, and from that discovery on, she was taken by the Shinkansen.

There was a young liger, by name of Junjing, and Miyamoto Sekai, as she was trained and taught proper use of her skills, felt like a mother to the boy, but one day she was isolated, taken away, put and locked up, and there, something happened that altered her life from then on; in her sleep she had begun to gnaw upon her tongue, and when she woke, she'd filled her mouth with blood, torn her lips up; her horror upon this realization was stunning, and she was repaired, mostly; Miyamoto Sekai has a horrific speech impediment (except when she is singing because she taught herself how to sing without it), and it wasn't long after this that she was told the stipulation for gaining her current position.

Defeat the previous commander two in combat. Sekai and a grizzled wolf met in combat, and she knocked his head off of his shoulders. For the past two and a half years Sekai has been Urakata Commander Two, and she will only give the position up if it is taken from her, so she says.

Miyamoto Sekai was born with the disorder known as CIPA, keeping her from feeling pain or from sweating. Miyamoto Sekai keeps off heat by panting in a fashion similar to that of a dog, and has multiple scars from her disorder, and being unable to feel when she has hurt herself.
