| If I had a choice, I rather my higher power decide to take me first. I think the other way around would only make me worse. Rarely was I ever trusted without the suspicions. And very few could ever love me without the conditions. The sun had long since brightened the dark corners of the world, granting life to the still streets and commotion to the silence that had threatened the night. It seemed all was at peace, not a single dark energy sweeping the streets and no fights to be heard for miles among miles. All that could be heard were the laughter, chattering, and frail voices of humans and urakata alike, roaming the world without a thought to the others around them.
How bland and boring.
Dustin Lysinar, Lieutenant One Urakata of the Shinkansen and tracking expert, found little excitement in his day without reporting to his duties as a 'keeper of the peace'. In fact, his days had become rather dull without much to pursue. Paperwork, tracking down Ajax, arguing with a few people, ah, his day was never really through, was it? Even today, after losing Ajax for the umpteenth time, he was beginning to question whether he should give up and give in for now.
His pink hair fell in locks about his face as the wind swept past him, his nose leading him into the local park where children would often play with their parents. It was a more empty day to say the least, many children focusing more on the playground than the abandoned swing set. Hmm. Perhaps Ajax was trying to throw him off? What use did his Master have for the park anyhow?
"Hardly fair Ajax. Throwing me off on purpose. It'd be more fun if you were doing this to test me but that's not the point, right?"
He grumbled a bit, more so talking to himself than his stubborn partner who was no where within sight. He adjusted his hood, having decided to wear a different set of clothes today. They had been gifted to him but he wasn't particularly...fond of the colors. With a loud sigh, he glanced around. Instead of sniffing through the park and causing a stir, Dustin moved forward, plopping down on the swing set that had been forgotten by the tiny minds wandering about. He used his feet to push him back and forth, humming softly. "We're the same then, right? Both abandoned by someone. How cruel~" He laughed softly, picking up his feet to let the swing carry him back and forth. The wind rushing through his hair and the laughter of children near by...it was all quite serene.
He was swinging a bit high at this point, closing his eyes to enjoy the gentle breeze. Maybe when he opened his eyes, Ajax would be there? Ah, not like it mattered. The man wouldn't divulge any information about himself anyway. So much for being partners till the end.
Opening his eyes, Dustin swung his legs out, catching the dirt below him so he could stop. What now? There really wasn't much left for the Shinkansen mutt to do. Even if there were, he probably wouldn't enjoy it to much. All work and no play left him feeling rather...grumpy in the end.
"At least I can come here if I have nothing better to do."
He sighed, sniffing the air once more. Ajax's scent was still heavy enough that he could follow it. Choices choices....
It wasn't really worth it. Fine. Ajax won for today.
Hearing the laughter of the children echoing through out the playground made him sigh softly. Everyone had someone to talk to and play with huh? So was it to much to ask for someone to talk to and play with as well? words: 592 | tags: open | notes: The 'new outfit' is the outfit pictured to the left |

WE DO NOT SOW
| The tiger-striped bitch strides down the street with her teeth gritted quietly, ignoring the indignity of having to walk with a woman behind her, a threat present in the woman's hand; it is a stun gun, made and used to keep runaway slaves kept, and Inubashiri Fuji has no doubt she would be fast enough to slaughter the woman and be gone before others found her, but she has too much pride for it, and she knows this is her weakness; the woman inclines her head and Inubashiri Fuji allows herself to think of tearing out the other's proud throat anyways; if she was bred and born to kill bears and bear Urakata, this woman has nothing on her, nothing on her history or the bodies she has seen in the snow. Fuji breathes out quietly and lets her tongue press up upon her lower canine teeth. Or what were once her lower canines, sharp and beautiful, and are now filed down to typical teeth, typical points; her head turns and she stares quietly behind her. Her one eye glares from its socket and the captive Urakata strides purposefully, powerfully.
Inubashiri Fuji does not have the fortune of not disturbing the children; upon seeing her, they swarm and her handler is there applying the stun gun to the small of her back, because Fuji is breathing heavily, her head snapping from side to side, her jaws aching; she wants to rip into the children in her own way but she cannot, it must be left to fester and burn and rot, as must the rest of her. When they have had their way, and prodded her until the proud Akita is shaking with the effort of containing herself, she picks up the scent of Shinkansen and that tears from her furiously, a low growl, because THEY took her, and they threw her in a cage.
Inubashiri Fuji suffers nightmares, and she will have none of this; her head tilts up and she prowls to the swings and watches, watches him swing, even though her handler is laughing quietly. Fuji's head tilts and the heavy steel around her neck marking her auction house property clinks as she says one word, and lets it hang heavy upon the air: "Traitor." The handler laughs, her face a mask of delight, and Fuji whirls on her, her tail curls, her snarling loud and echoing and furious. The handler shrugs and Fuji looks back at Dustin, her nose wrinkled--"What do they give you to bring your own kind to slavery? Is it worth it?" |

| If I had a choice, I rather my higher power decide to take me first. I think the other way around would only make me worse. Rarely was I ever trusted without the suspicions. And very few could ever love me without the conditions. Dustin was content in that very moment. The children laughing on the playground, a few running by and waving at him curiously, their happy giggles and playful minds causing the male to smile in glee. Human children were so innocent and pure, weren't they? He really did find them to be quite cute. Still, he couldn't bare the thought of himself having children. For one, his sexuality was a bit of a problem in such a case and for two...well...he couldn't take the risk. His child, even if had with a human woman, would still be one quarter of a Urakata. Subjecting them to such a life would be cruel. After all, he wasn't sure he could love his own child if that were the case. Shifting, Dustin was about to get up and go look for Ajax but something...changed.
Call it what you may but the atmosphere that settled in the playground as the children rushed forward to look at the vermin scum that had just entered made Dustin sigh out in irritation. Why couldn't they just stay in their cages till the day they're bought or till they rotted away? Taking Urakata out on walks...tch, such a disgrace. Still, his eyes could see a stun gun in hand and the handler seemed to have them in full control. Ah, it wasn't such a big matter in a way then. At least the kids were happy.
He diverted his attention to look at the kids returning to the playground, only turning his gaze back onto the scum and the handler when a low growl and a contained voice suggested he was being talked to. A wide smile appeared on his lips as he shrugged, continuing to push the swing back and forth a bit with his feet. "Traitor? That's a new one. Try a little harder next time, scum~" The sarcasm fell off his tone easily, as if he hadn't even thought it through before speaking. His face was gentle, almost like he was talking to a friend but his tone stated otherwise. He nodded to the handler, showing his respect the the older party before he shrugged and yawned, almost bored with the conversation at hand.
"Give to me? That answer is simple. Nothing." He finally frowned, his feet stopping as he stared down at the Urakata before him, no sign of emotion in his eyes. "I just want to see Urakata put in their place. They deserve to suffer. They're good for nothing and being compared to those things makes me sick." He smiled once more, the dangerous tone in his voice gone. "But I supposed being only half urakata, my opinion is a bit biased~ Run along now~ Go back to your cage or something~!" Dustin nodded to the handler, ready to simply ignore Fuji if at all possible words: 479 | tags: Fuji~ | notes: Thank you for replying! This should be interesting! |

WE DO NOT SOW
| Oh, he's one of them, alright, and the danger in his voice goes unheeded; Fuji has felt the branding-iron upon her thigh, she's felt teeth in her neck and she's felt torn to pieces on the inside. Pieces of her are broken off and dying, dead where the woman left them, where Kotonoha tore them from her flesh; her hands are placed behind her back, and her head turns, for a moment, towards the Handler. Fuji is nothing if not dignified, so when she turns back to Dustin, her tone remains unchanged; there is no inflection in her tone, no change, but her words themselves are delivered with a strength that one like her should not possess.
"Brainwashed, then; how young when they held you down and began the training, how young when everything was gone? How long did you know your mother, I wonder, or was she, like mine, destroyed before your very eyes." There is a second's pause before she speaks again, and when she does, her words are just as calm, as well-delivered. "I saw my mother's skull smashed beneath a hammer. And yours probably suffered the same fate, I would imagine." From between her lips there is a low chuffing laugh, the sly showing of fangs, but it is a genuine smile.
The handler makes no move, and Fuji knows she is safe, because the handler knows that if she moves and attacks without need, Fuji will likely kill her; the akita is a combatant, a murderer, a killer; her lips part slightly as she speaks and she chuffs again before her claws curl. "Or. Was it your father who sold you for...something? It doesn't matter." Her hand waves slightly. "You sully their memories by selling out your own kind."
Inubashiri Fuji turns to her handler, then, and smiles kindly. "And when you, hound, are useless to them, they will do one of two things." A clawed hand is held up, a solitary finger in the air: "They will kill you. Or they will throw you in the pens." And here her smile is impeccable, kind, her nose wrinkles. "And either way, I hope I am there to witness your blood spraying. Urakata in the pens kill Shinkansen urakata when they're here. The one or two who say they are...they're torn to pieces."
Then she shrugs, as if this isn't a big deal, and pulls out a small scrap of metal, begins to sharpen her claws. Let him speak. Let him not. She will enjoy her freedom either way. |

| If I had a choice, I rather my higher power decide to take me first. I think the other way around would only make me worse. Rarely was I ever trusted without the suspicions. And very few could ever love me without the conditions. How truly sickening. One like the very scum before him should not feel so empowered. One before him like this Urakata should not be so testing. It was a disgrace and left Dustin feeling nothing but hate and distaste. But he couldn't be bothered by such things. He need not care for the thing before him. He need only concern himself with his own affairs.
"You're wasting your breath. Put it to better use next time. I requested to continue my training. I trained of my own free will. My mother was a useless urakata and my father was human. How beautiful, right?" He laughed a bit, as if humored by the conversation. However, he soon after yawned, stretching a bit and beginning to swing a bit once again. He was bored.
"I don't care." He began to ignore the other, nothing resonating from her words. He wasn't going to let something so trivial get to him. Why should he even care what some low down slave thinks of him?
He picked up his feet, allowing his body to swing slowly, hovering above the ground due to the slow rocking left on the swing. He smiled fondly, shifting so that instead of sitting, he was standing on the swing. He could see most of the park from this position, continuing to ignore the Urakata until she said something that caught his attention.
Abandonment. The inability to perform up to the Shinkansen's standards. Yes, this was his fear. His fear that one day, he will be useless to those whom he worshiped. Alas, he could not let these words get to him. Instead, he hopped down, a cloud of dust sparking up around his feet once he landed. "If you're done, I think it's time you ran along. Do us all a favor and go back to where you belong~" He smirked a bit, shrugging. "These children don't need to be exposed to a creature like you, right?" He stretched a bit. Ah, Ajax's scent was fading. So much for tracking him down.
Dustin sighed a bit at the realization of the fading scent, sniffing the air a few times to be sure he couldn't find it once more. Once he decided there was no hope, he scoffed, shoving his hands in his pockets. Bah. He might as well go home. Not much else to do out. Where was his knight in shining armor on days like this? Well, the 'beast' was before him. Perhaps his knight could show up and slay the beast? How amusing~ words: 427 | tags: Fuji~ | notes: Sorry I took a bit! |
