Izayoi Ueda I was born into a curse, an outlaw straight from birth Her wrists still hurt from the hand cuffs. Hard to believe that only a year ago she had walked in the shadow of the human race, and before that, so didn't the remnants of her people. Once upon a time humans had thought urakata to be extinct, and to be honest she was a little shocked at the audacity of such an idea. Urakata were not mindless beats with no grasping of reason and logic, they were discerning predators who only attacked when provoked...And oh, how humans loved to provoke. War seemed to be humanity's favorite pass time, be it among themselves or with another race, earth seemed to be in a state of perpetual strife. For a moment she wondered if it would ever change but the thought was quickly stifled, of course it wouldn't, evil had an inherent advantage in the world of humans and there would always be chaos. Red eyes glared out the window as she stood there silently watching humans and enslaved urakata both pass by from the shop window for what must have been an hour now. Each urakata passed and dull throb found it's way to her chest, she still housed a deep sadness for her people who had now become the cringing dog at their human masters boot...But there were so many people to feel sorry for. As humans could monsters, she had learned all to harshly that her own people could be just as heartless and it was in her act of speaking against it that landed her here. Eyes flashed over the store dangerously, falling over the few faces that continued to stare at her as though she was going to steal their hand gab at any given moment. Just a few days ago she had seen faces similar to these, all sticking their grubby faces in on her and judging her as though she were the latest fashion accessory. It was degrading, but that was the life of a slave. It wasn't until a girl by the name of Shino came along that she had been given a new home with a new 'master'. She swallowed a growl that almost escaped her lips at the thought, for in her purchase it was in part the reason the pink haired urakata stood in the store now. Her new 'owner' was no filthy rich snob, or some daddy's girl living off a trust fund, she was some small time detective who barely made enough to pay her bills. In coughing up the money for Izayoi, all for the fact that she had apparently seemed as though she didn't want to be there in the auction house, she had seriously made a dent in her finances. Now the girl was working here at some of the local stores as the cleaning crew, and while it might have been ideal for Shino to have help from her new room mate Izayoi was far from broken. She may have been captured, but she would take a bullet to the skull before she lowered herself to cleaning up after some filthy human. It wasn't as though she thought herself above such tasks or anything, for she had walked many paths in her one hundred years of life and there was a point in her life that she would have killed for such a job. Now however, it was more in proving a point. No piece of paper, law, or collar would ever make her surrender to any human to afraid to face her in a real battle. Izayoi watched silently as an urakata was beat over the head by his master with a rolled up newspaper like some dog who had taken a shit on his new carpet. On her face no emotion was displayed, but her nails dug deep into her skin, leaving behind crescent shaped marks. It wasn't as though she could complain about who she'd ended up with, for she could have surely ended up in a much more brutal environment...Still, she was a rebel at heart and no matter how small the fight she was going to come out swinging. Once the site across the street had vanished around the corner she released a breath she had not realized she was holding and glanced around once more from her perch by the window. Shino was certainly taking her dear sweet time. [/b] Shino • Words; 733 • Notes; :3 • Credit; PerfectFallacy of Gangnam Style![/div][/ul][/div][/div][/div][/div]

“Thank you very much, we hope to see you again!”Chewing on a soft and savory pork meat bun, Shino politely waved at the cashier as she walked out of the 24-hour convenience store, carrying a plastic bag filled with a few discounted packaged breads, 2 bottles of 500 ml oolong tea, and a small brown paper bag which contained her new urakata's share of pork meat buns. It was nearing lunch time when she was done with her morning job, and as the two ladies were about to head to Shino's next workplace of the day, she had gotten hungry and asked Izayoi to head to the destination first. After all, if she wanted to get paid well, she had to look as if she was working hard. Perhaps sacrifice a few breaks here and there just to please her superior. It wasn't like she was lazy or anything; in fact, she had always been diligent at completing any kind of tasks. But the harsh reality was, as long as no one knew of what and how she was doing her work, she would never get the recognition she deserved. This was a fact that was very well-hammered into her heart and soul. With that said, she thought it would be better for the two of them to have their lunch early before they started working. All that she could afford were breads and meat buns, and that was already pushing it. She realized that buying Izayoi from the auction house was a stretch on her wallet, and it was indeed an impulse spending. However, her only regret that came shortly after the contracts and documents were signed was that she had to ask Izayoi to work with her. As much as Shino had wanted to earn for her, another mouth to feed meant exactly what it was - an extra mouth to feed. She would need more money to ensure them a roof, clothing, and food to survive. Quite frankly, Shino couldn't manage earning all of the necessary amount of cash by herself; which rendered it imperative for Izayoi to earn her own living by tagging along with Shino on her work days (which were basically everyday, if not every other day). Shino's feet naturally led her toward her work place, a large electronics store, and saw Izayoi standing not far from the entrance door just next to the clear glass window when she walked in. The high pony-tailed woman cheerfully approached Izayoi and offered her some food as she lifted the plastic bag hung around her fingers. "Yo! Gotten hungry yet? Let's take a quick lunch break before I introduce you to the boss, and then it's work time!"

Izayoi Ueda I was born into a curse, an outlaw straight from birth Shino was easy enough to spot coming across the street, her pink hair a lighter shade than Izayoi's, carrying a bag in one hand as she approached with a grin. Izayoi's own face did not change as her new owner approached, greeting her with enthusiasm while offering up the bag. The scent of food wafted up from the bag, causing a growl to echo from the confines of her stomach though the only reaction to this on her face was a slight eyebrow twitch. For a moment she simply stared at the bag and then to Shino, with a slow but steady hand she reached forward and took the bag to open it up and look inside. Meat buns and some bread, wasn't anything fancy, but with the way the girl lived it was no wonder. A sigh escaped the urakata before she closed the bag back up and handed it back to her. "You eat, and then you should return me to the auction house. You and I both know I'm not something you can afford." She stated flatly, her voice devoid of any sort of emotion as her eyes trailed off down the street, watching a bird fly by and wishing silently that she could do the same. One didn't know how precious freedom was until they lost it. There was no need to believe in a supernatural force for evil, men were quite capable of every wickedness. But there was no such thing as a perfect world, one in which only joy, love, and goodness existed. Good and evil could not exist without each other, because without the bad you could not know what good was and how it felt with no contrast. Izayoi knew the sides of light and dark quite well, and before her was not a woman of evil intentions, but rather a child merely trying to make a living. Despite her buying her up like some cheap toy off a shelf, Izayoi held no real animosity toward the girl and did not wish to see her go hungry on account of her. On the flip side of that the urakata did have some pride left in her despite her now sub-human ranking on the scale of society. She had no desire to be 'owned', and there was clear difference between herself and the urakata these humans had now. She had lived ten times most of their lives, tasted freedom, even power, played god herself in who lived and who died...And there was no way she working as clean up crew for a bunch of humans who couldn't do so for themselves. "I wouldn't bother introducing me to your boss. I'm sure he'll find me thoroughly useless." Izayoi still not bother to look to Shino when she talked, her white ears flicking slightly at the sounds that fluttered across the street. It still felt so odd for her ears to be on display for everyone to see...Then again, a hundred years of habit was hard to break. "Ehhhhhh?! Come oooooon," Shino immediately whined and quite pleadingly attempted to get Izayoi to take the plastic bag when the urakata had returned it to her the first time around. "Don't be such an aunt, Izayoi," Shino playfully warned her without knowing the Siberian Tigress' true age; after all, she looked way below 30 if one was to observe her. It was true, though, that Shino sensed how Izayoi had proven herself much wiser than her appearance could ever offer. The urakata was, for a fact, mature beyond her years. The light pink-haired lady stared at her new companion as she told her to return her to the auction house, completely disregarding it because she definitely wasn't returning her. "I've told you I can manage the finances," Shino gave her a bright, wide grin. "Besides, they have a return fee I have to pay right off the bat if I were to do so, remember?" Slightly tilting her head, the younger woman entered Izayoi's peripheral field of vision with an encouraging smile on her face. "Plus... Isn't it better to live outside of the cage?"
Shino had no idea how to handle Izayoi as of yet. They were strangers yesterday, and were still strangers that day - but she believed that there would be a way for her to get to know the mysterious tiger urakata some time soon. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

Izayoi Ueda I was born into a curse, an outlaw straight from birth A look of pure annoyance passed of the tiger urakatas face as she closed her eyes and her white ears pressed tightly against her head in an attempt to keep out the high pitched sound that was Shino's whine. Exactly how old was this girl? Five? Izayoi's upper lip pulled back slightly to reveal slightly sharper canine teeth as Shino pushed the bag back toward her with a grin, calling her an 'aunt' due to her behavior. Her look slowly turned into one of confinement...Had she missed the translation in that? Was she really calling her an aunt? Or had she meant something else but Izayoi didn't know the Japanese word for it? Well, it hardly mattered at this rate. Her red eyes moved to the plastic bag, hidden by a curtain of her hair as she felt the twinge of hunger pains once again. It reminded of her an older time, when she'd suffered from this very pain on a regular basis. Being among the incredibly impoverished did a number in humbling a person, which was why those with money often grated on the urakata nerves. Well, perhaps the same could be said of all people who shared such obnoxious traits, not the just the exceedingly rich. Izayoi did not bother to take the bag and watched as a determined gaze passed over Shino's face, declaring that she could take care of the finances and could not afford the return fee. Izayoi raised an eyebrow, girl wasn't very good at lying was she? A sigh passed through the urakata's lips but she did not utter a reply, what point was there in even arguing. When Shino leaned over to be in Izayoi's indirect vision asking if it was better to live outside the cage than in it. Her eyes narrowed as she stared off in the distance, refusing to meet the girls gaze. She had no idea what a cage was...Metal bars? Those were only the physical manifestation of how she had lived her entire life. For one hundred and thirty two years she had known a cage in more ways than one, even now without the bars she was still caged. She could never freely be herself, she would always have to hide what she was. Only in death would she know freedom from an eternal confinement. The irrationality of a thing was an argument against it's existence, but rather a condition of it...Someone who had known from birth what they were was acceptable in the light could never know the true loneliness of the dark. It was so easy to forgive a child who was afraid of the dark, but it was a true tragedy when grown man or woman was afraid of the light. That was the evil in things, always unspectacular, always human, sharing our beds and eating at our tables. Humans could never know the torment they had put her race through, a mere cage was only the beginning. Izayoi's face did not change as these thoughts ran through her mind without a word, but her nails dug deep into her skin, the physical pain lost to the remains of emotional scars that long ran deep into her soul until thin trails of blood ran down her arm. "He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still." Izayoi had no idea if Shino would understand what she was talking about, much less the quote itself. "The fear of a cage comes with my peoples birth, and every day, we endure that cage. Perhaps we do not over come that fear, but we do endure."[/b] Shino • Words; 614 • Notes; :3 • Credit; PerfectFallacy of Gangnam Style![/div][/ul][/div][/div][/div][/div]
