Thou dost not
even notice the mercy extended to thee
Another day another visit. It was almost like clockwork; every week at the least, every second day at most, the woman was here. In the auction house, where begging voices asked for the elegant woman to take them; to free them from the terror of these cages. They clung, they wished, they desired; but this got boring after the first few times, the desperate voices and screams no longer interesting. Arrogance then had sought her eye next, and when she got her full of that, the screams were appealing once more. But both.. she was tiring of both, and then moved to aggression.. and tired of her that, as her mind would not pick something or the other. Grotesque, beautiful, inanimate, anger. All of these things, Kimiko had savoured, tasted, and wrought from the distressed Urakatas trapped.
But her interest waned again, like the moon did with low tides. So now.. what was she looking for? What would wet the appetite of the woman, the one that idolized witches to the point of egotistical delusions? Ah, it was so hard she assumed, to find the proper things; but the female moved amongst the cages, hearing the weeping, the anger, all of these things. Scars, amputees, deformed children, and many more presented themselves under her gaze, like a spectacle. Presented like a parade of new things, one after the other, and yet.. nothing grabbed her attention. A slow, casual march; she was moving through the undesirables into the dangerous ones, the ones that people were afraid of due to bad reputations.
And yet, still nothing. The whisper of curses amongst viewers, as if they were at a zoo, held no candle to the woman's never-ending quest. Sighing, she went deeper - for beyond the undesirable, the dangerous ones, held different Urakatas. Those that were never given without a disclaimer, for these were Urakata that were beyond either of the above. They had killed, they had been trained to fight and trained for death. Some were loyal, but those were only the first, the ones trained like those darlings serving the Shinkansen. Further on were the ones that were wanted criminals, and required a heavy amount of hands. One such was a beautiful female, a Great White Shark if rumour was right. But that did not pull her interest; surely yes, this was rare, but it held no meaning to the woman.
Rather, it was the strange one beside her; a pitbull, the sign said. Nothing too dangerous, but the creature itself.. was fascinating. For a few moments, the woman took the file, and read through, curious from her observing post. Very rarely where people allowed to go into the thick of these ones, for some were quite tricky. But this one.. was definitely fascinating. The shots offered for observation, medical reports, everything. Yes indeed, this was perhaps the exact thing that Kimiko needed; someone to train, to mold and transform. A project that would not grow tiresome, as from the simple readings, it became more and more obvious to the noble that this was perhaps an interesting case.
As such, her fingers touched the bell, and knowingly the guards escorted her to the cage. She smiled, as she stood before the area, waiting for the creature.. well to acknowledge the woman that had come to see this little bundle of terror, death and destruction. Who knew how much amusement the woman would gain now? Well.. perhaps more then enough for a persuasive offer towards the Urakata.
