FRIENDS:
In general, Matthias doesn't have very many friends. Anyone in that supposed circle are more likely to be necessary alliances and/or pawns for his business than a true comrade. While he's great at commanding attention and negotiating deals, in regards to personal relationships and a social life...Well. He guards himself and his emotions fiercely and has great difficulties with opening up, which naturally contributes to a cold air. Due to that he's not the easiest person to approach, and he likes it that way. That's not to say that friendships are 100% impossible, there might be the very, very rare exception...But they'll be few and far between, and it'll take a lot of effort on the interested person's part.
FOES:
These he likely has lots of in large supply, from all sorts of angles. As he's the CEO of an armament company, that right there is probably a strike against him from those who detest war. Not only that but he's pretty ruthless with his competition, and his dad wasn't a very good person, so y'know, there's a whole reputation to live up to as well. Even if you're not necessarily wrapped up in any of those things, it's fairly easy to get on his black list. Mess with Theo, his dog, for one, and you'll have a very angry Matthias. Try to put him into a position where he's the underdog, again, very angry Matthias. He's got a bunch of trigger buttons even though he keeps his facade super calm and poker face'd.
LOVES:
Romance and Matthias? Ahahaha...Ha, no. If he has issues letting people close enough to be friends, love is likely not going to pan out any better. Of course, there's the very rare exception--but that plotline's been claimed, folks! However, there's room for awkwardness here. Want your character to be rebuffed multiple times by a guy who really doesn't care that he's crushing said person's hopes and dreams? Matthias' your guy! Pretty much anything here will be extremely one-sided. Feel free to try, though...Just don't expect a lot.
