Well this was a first for Shadow, she was never in this situation before and she doesn’t know what to expect of it. Right now after being saved from certain death since her old master was killed and she as always listening to orders, even when it came to eating. So if the shinkansen wouldn’t have been there sooner Shadow right now wouldn’t be alive. She was thankful to the two that came and saved her, they treated her so gently and she helped them in return, Shadow felt very good for doing that even if she was very sad that her master died.
The red head male still didn’t explain something to Shadow, like the thing that he told her she has to keep hidden, but she never found out what that thing is. Well as long as she does such a good job to hide it that not even she doesn’t know where it is then it shouldn’t be a problem. The thing that she should worry about right now would be the act that she is at an auction; she is going to have a new master that hopefully would give her a roof to stay under. It doesn’t matter if that happens or not, Shadow would still do her best to be a good slave; just like she was trained to do.
A door opened and some men went in the room Shadow was kept locked in a cage. There was another urakatas there but she didn’t exchange names or even ‘hello’ with her. Some of the men took the other urakatas leaving only Shadow and two men in the room. They were talking if they should sell her since she has a missing eye, which right now was bandaged. ”You think she will be sold? Nobody would buy an urakatas useless as her, and besides that she has a missing eye too.” those were the harsh words of one of the men. While the other, with a smirk on his face started to talk.
”Well I don’t mind taking her home; I heard she listens to everything her master tells her to do. Let me show you.” He went closer to Shadow’s cage and said. ”You get naked right now.” Shadow saying her usual ‘yes, master’ when she receives an order, she started to take off her clothes, in a minute she was completely naked.
One of them men whistling when he saw Shadow’s body and the other one getting a strange idea. ”We could test her, to see if the mouth and hands are in perfect shape.

Ajax let out a yawn. He didn't know why he found himself here. Well... he did but he didn't want to think to hard about it. The auction house had a horrible stench to it, he hated breathing through his nose in the place. It was filth and always seemed to smell more like a toilet to him than anything else. His steps echoed as he went on his way. He knew this place fairly well now, though he only ever came here to drop off the occasional urakata. The ones that didn't get killed. Which is what brought him here this day.
He was about to make a horrible mistake but for some reason that red eye seemed to pull him in. Ajax remembered her cowering under the table and finding her fainted from near starvation. The girl was so obedient that she wouldn't eat unless she was told otherwise by her master. It was ridiculous that the girl could be such an idiot. He told himself he wanted nothing to do with a brainwashed and battered urakata and yet... here he was.
He went past the holding cages of the other urakata and went to where the new urakata were taken. He reached the door when voices caught his attention. Something about whether she could be sold or not. He'd known the moment he saw her yesterday that her chances of resell were slim to none. In most cases, he would put the urakata down himself but he'd needed information from her. Then he went and got attached to her innocent nature. He cursed himself but was pulled from further insults by the words that he heard next.
Naked? Were these guys serious? And of course she went right along with it. The girl was hopeless. It seems that she couldn't last even a day without getting herself into another mess. A mess he would rather not have to clean up but would do regardless. Then he heard the test part and decided enough was enough. He pushed the door open and stepped into the room.
"I don't think that will be necessary." His voice was steely and cold. His sword was strapped to his back but he didn't move to grab it, these two blundering idiots would be easy to take out with fists alone. Before either of them could muster a reply, he dashed up to the closest one and grabbed him around his throat lifting him a foot into the air. The man's face became a mask of fear.
Ajax grinned, showing teeth. "You fine gentleman wouldn't be testing the goods I just bought would you? I would hate to have to beat payment out of you both." The man he held seemed like he was about to faint while the other put up his hands as if to surrender. "Easy man, we were just playing..."
Ajax scoffed at that statement. "Play on your own dollar." He threw the guy towards the door where he landed with a loud thud. Both men left the room then and Ajax let out a frustrated sigh. "It's been like 4 hours, how in the hell can you get into so much trouble in such a short amount of time." His green gaze went to Shadow, who he found naked and so he looked away, his cheeks a little red. "P-put your clothes back on. And don't take your clothes off around strangers. It's never good." He turned his back to her giving her a chance to do as he said.

Be a bucket? What did they mean about that? How could Shadow become a bucket? When she heard that she had a puzzled look on her face. And what did the men want to test about her? They mentioned the hands and the mouth, does that mean they want to see if she is able to cook and clean? Well if that is the situation than Shadow was sure that she would get adopted if that’s everything she needs to know, she was expert in those things. What confused her is why she had to do all those things naked. Clothes didn’t affect the way she works; it could be that they just want to see how beaten she is.
Before she was able to say that she would gladly accept to be tested, if that means that she could get adopted easier, the red head that saved her from the mansion came here. Did he want to see if she got adopted? Or wish her luck for that? She was happy to see him, but what she saw next made her a little scared. She wanted to help the man that was lifted in the air by him, she wanted to yell to let him go, but her fear didn’t let her do anything, she just stood there watching. After the man was thrown she just shook her head and tried to forget she was scared of him, he saved her, and he would never harm Shadow.
With a smile on her face she said. ”Hello Mr. Shinkansen.” She forgot his name, well she didn’t actually forget it, but she thinks that Shinkansen is actually her name. She heard his name and that word only once, so it could be the reason she didn’t know which one was it. It was a 50% chance to get the right one.
When he looked at her he instantly turned around, she didn’t blame him, who would want to see a hurt body like hers? Bruised, burnt and whipped, it was disgusting. She was a bit sad about that and it could be read in her voice. She followed the order to get dressed and she started to talk to him. ”I didn’t get in trouble…Those men wanted to test me, since they mentioned hands and mouth I bet they wanted to see if I can cook and clean. Maybe I could still get adopted even if my body is broken.” She couldn’t help but smile when she thought that she would be adopted and not killed, the sadness in her voice disappeared, and it wasn’t there anymore when she asked the next question. ”Mister…..What did they mean when they said that I would be a perfect bucket? I am very confused…”

Her fear was evident and perfectly justifiable, Ajax understood it. In usual cases, the little bit of fear would have been a useful thing but for some reason, he didn't want her to fear him. He couldn't help but want to get violent with the goons. Although the look on the man's face when Ajax had him by the throat amused him more than it should have. He knew that Shinkansen rarely frequented the Auction House. They already had their urakata so there was no need except to drop off the occasional runaway.
He just had the small problem of being a male with no cooking sense. Ajax' was more than rich enough to eat out often without hurting his budget but he didn't like having to frivolously spend when he could just be eating at home. His Shinkansen urakata wasn't the best cook in the world, in Ajax' opinion, so he could justify buying Shadow as a cook. It would also keep her out of trouble. Not that he cared about her getting herself into trouble.
Her addressing him as Mr. Shinkansen left a weird taste in his mouth. She didn't remember his name. Saved her life and she couldn't even bother to remember his name. He sighed heavily, his back still to her. "It's Ajax Zervos. Not Mr. Shinkansen..." He listened to what she thought was going on and let out a frustrated huff. He put his hand on his neck as he thought once again how completely clueless this girl was. She was too innocent for her own good. She didn't even get what they meant by calling her a bucket. All he could think was, what am I getting myself into?
"Why would they have you get naked if it was to cook and clean? There's not even a kitchen here. They were after that thing I told you to protect. They wanted... to reproduce." He wasn't quite sure if he should phrase it that way but that was the best he had. He knew his face was red and was just glad that he was turned away so she couldn't see it. "And about that... The thing I told you to protect means you haven't reproduced yet. They were just trying to use you. They weren't testing you to sell. Besides, you've already been bought."
He turned to her then, his face still a little red. Ajax did not want to talk about this with her but if he didn't, she wouldn't understand that she needs to protect herself. "You're coming home with me. As of today, you're my urakata."

They wanted to reproduce? But reproducing doesn’t mean making babies? How could she make babies? She isn’t a stork. The mister was so funny it made Shadow let out a cute giggle, she couldn’t help it. She had to explain to master this stuff like the maid did when she was young, maybe nobody told him about this. ”Mister Ajax is so silly.” This time she got the name right since she was told the name. ”I can’t reproduce, I am not a stork, only storks help you reproduce and brings babies to the mommy.” Now she was very proud of herself that she managed to explain this to him.
Now it was time for her to explain why they wanted to get her naked. She felt so smart right now. ”They wanted to get me naked to see how damaged my body is, so they know how difficult it would be for them to sell me.” She continued to nod feeling very proud that she gets to explain all these things. ”And they forgot to tell me to get dressed after that so they just wanted to see everything right away, they were obviously worried about me. But I still don’t get the bucket thing…” That was one thing she couldn’t help Ajax understand.
She started to get dressed since she was told by Ajax to do so. She was very proud of herself and nothing could make her feel better, until Ajax told her something that made her jump up very happy. ”Yay! I have a new master~”

Her responses made him want to his his head against the nearest wall repeatedly. This girl was unbelievable! Storks? What was she, five? He rubbed his forehead as if a headache was brewing. He wasn't the one to tell her about all this. So he didn't respond at all to her explanations. He would save himself the bird and bee talk. It wasn't like she was going to be doing any baby making while around him. Worst case scenario he could pass that problem on to Hikaru. She would probably be able to explain it better than he ever could feel comfortable doing.
She looked so proud of herself too. He kind of wanted to explain it to the fullest just so she wouldn't look so smug but he decided that it was best for her to remain ignorant of the truth. With that determined, he lowered his hand from his forehead. Wondering once again, why in the hell he was going to go through with this he went up to her cage. He pulled out the key he'd gotten before he'd come to the room and unlocked the door to the metal cage, before he swung it open.
"We're just gonna leave that discussion for later. For now, let's get all the paperwork done so we can leave this place. It smells like a toilet."
As if to prove that he really thought that, his nose wrinkled in disgust while he reached out a hand to Shadow. He waited for her to take it trying not to look at her so he wouldn't picture that glance he had over her naked again. Ajax began to think that having her around might be more trouble than it's worth but it was too late to turn back now. He'd unlocked the cage and held out his hand to her. If she took it, they would leave and go to his home. He'd show her around the place tell her what her duties were and show her the guest room set aside for her.
He wasn't really good with decorating so he had decided that she would decorate it herself, how she wanted. Although, he was assuming that she would ask him how she should decorate it. The girl was completely hopeless but that's exactly why he found himself wanting to help her.

Finishing getting dressed, brushing her hair a bit with her hand in order to be sure it looks nice. She arranged her clothed because she wanted to look nice for her new master and of course she wanted to put her bandage better but with that she had some problems since it got a bit dirty and it was harder for her to actually do it. She would need to get new clean bandages or maybe she could ask Ajax for a bandana. She wasn’t so sure if she should ask him since she was just bought by Ajax, she would wait for that. For now she would use the bandages.
Walking out of the cage she didn’t notice her skirt got stuck in the door of the cage and when she got out of it, a part of the skirt just got ripped. It wasn’t enough to make her panties be visible, but it showed a part of her leg, some of her skin was bruised but hopefully it would be healed soon.
Grabbing the hand of her new master and ignoring the ripped skirt she sticked close to Ajax. For the moment she felt a bit clingy since she was happy. Even if she was a sugar glider for now she was acting just like a cat. She was holding Ajax’s arm and nuzzling his side; while doing that she was sniffing him a bit just to make sure she has his scent in her mind. That was she would always know when he is coming home.
Once she finished with that she looked up at Ajax face and asked him some things, she already began with her maid job. She didn’t even get to the house and she already wants to know how to help. ”Master, do you have enough food? Ingredients for me to make food? And enough detergent for me to clean and wash everything around the house?” She liked cleaning, washing and cooking for anyone who owns her. Well for now she only had one master and Ajax being the second one. But no matter what happens to her she would always remain loyal, it never mattered how mean, cruel or evil the master is. She would only see the good parts in them.

Ajax turned when he heard ripping cloth. She'd ripped her dress on the cage. It didn't show her panties though, thank goodness. Looking her over, he had a lot to work on. She'd need clothes and the bandage around her eye... Maybe an eyepatch or something? He'd have to look into it. For now, he just wanted to get her out of this place without her losing or ripping or hurting herself further.
She took his hand and started nuzzling into his side. He could have sworn she sniffed him too but he paid no mind to it. Best not to think about her actions too much or he would get white hair way before his time. He guided them through the halls, passing a man at a desk who looked up a moment with an expectant look. Ajax dropped the paperwork on his desk before going on, listening to Shadow asking him question after question.
He rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't know, I leave that stuff to my shinkansen issued urakata. I would assume we have some stuff but if you need anything just make a list and I'll go with you to the store so you can get everything. That way you learn where it is and how to get back. Though the first thing we are getting is new clothes for you and maybe an eyepatch for your eye so you don't have to wear bandages so much."
He walked out of the place, rubbing the back of his neck. It was a bit chilly but the sun was beaming. It felt nice to have the sun shining on him, it made him miss summer that much more. He couldn't wait for the cold season to be over! Even now, he was bundled up in dark jeans and a black and red jacket. He looked to Shadow and instantly knew that if she were cold, she wouldn't tell him.
He pushed her away and took off his jacket draping it over her shoulders. He then offered her his arm again. "We're gonna have to walk back so keep warm until then."

It would have been easier if they first went to the market and after that home. That way Shadow wouldn’t bother Ajax too much. But it seems that he wanted her to make a list with everything she needs. It should be too much stuff, well even if it would be too much she would have to lie to him and make a shorter list, keeping the long one for when she would be home alone. She was sure that she would offer to carry the bags for her and that’s something she could never let him do. She didn’t want to put her master to work when he had someone like her.
She made a small nod to respond to what Ajax said. ”I will do my best, but you have to tell me what you want to eat for tonight so I can be sure I have all the ingredients. I don’t want to disappoint you.” She sure didn’t want to do that when Ajax was so nice to her, she would never forget the day they met and how he saved her from death. And again he saved her again from sure death since he took her in his care. What she doesn’t know is that she was saved twice today by him. She never knew what those men wanted with her, but if she knew she would be grateful even for that.
It was a bit cold for her, and the ripped skirt made things even worse. But she was not allowed to complain, or that’s what the old master told her. Whenever she complained about something she was beaten. Only time when she was allowed to complain was when it came to doing something better for her master than she was told by him. Otherwise she would just have to keep her mouth shut and do what she was told or eat what she was given, even wear what she was given without complaining.
She was very surprised when she felt Ajax’s warm jacket on her shoulders. He took it off just to make sure she isn’t cold. She was glad he did that, but it was one of the moments when she would be able to complain, because this action would make her master more vulnerable to the coldness of the weather and he would get sick. ”But master! You will catch a cold if you don’t wear your jacket!”

He had to think about what he wanted to it. In all honesty he missed the Greek dishes he used to have while he was a kid but he couldn't expect her to know those recipes, so he instead thought of a Japanese dish he wanted. Then he decided. "I want Chan Chan Yaki." It was very good and it would be enough to feed the three of them. Or he hoped it would. They could always have rice with it just in case.
Plus, that was probably something she would have no problem making it...
He knew she would speak up about him giving her his jacket. He simply shrugged and looked away. "Hikaru says I'm too big of an idiot to catch a cold. Don't worry about it. I'll be fine." He now sported a long sleeve red shirt close fitting but it wasn't thin enough to have him shivering. The material was very good at keeping him warm but his neck was exposed to the wind. He made a mental note to get a scarf too.
He rubbed his neck to keep it warm. "Besides, it would be more troublesome if you caught a cold. If anyone gets sick it should be me because I have no idea how to take care of a sick person." He smiled as they made their way to the closest clothing store. He opened the door and stepped through, having Shadow follow behind him.
The large man went straight to the jackets section and began looking through it before he turned to Shadow. "What's your favorite color? Do you see any you like?"

He was still worrying more about her than he should, Ajax shouldn’t even care if Shadow gets sick. He is more important than her. But it was futile for Shadow to try and make him understand that. So for now she would just listen to his orders and do whatever he wants, but slowly she would make him understand that he should worry more about himself than her. Then Shadow would be happy and she would be proud that she managed to make her master understand such an important thing. Maybe she should tell him? It could get him angry, and maybe if he gets angry he would take the jacket away.
”I am okay with getting sick, I can take care of myself if that happens, I always did that with my old master. All the urakata were busy so they couldn’t take care of the sick ones. If you were sick and you couldn’t take care of yourself you would have died there. So please take the jacket and make sure that you don’t get a cold. I would hate myself if that happens since it is my job to take care of you.” And of course she didn’t want Hikaru to scold him anymore; she didn’t like it when that happens so she always made sure that he had everything done right, sometimes without him even knowing. Going to his desk and sorting his stuff, cleaning the desk and other stuff like that.
And again it was futile for her to try to talk to him; it seems that he would listen to her only when she said something that wasn’t about his well-being. She couldn’t help it but let a sigh escape her and followed him in the shop. She looked around the place; she was confused and amazed by all the clothes that were there. The confusion was when Ajax asked her what she would like to wear, but the thing is she never picked what she could wear, so she doesn’t know what she likes. First order that she received from her master and she already failed it. Even if he didn’t say it like an order, it was just a simple question, that’s how her mind took it. ”I…I don’t know…what I like…All of them look nice, but I never picked for myself…my old master always did that, he was just bringing me the clothes home.”
