NOTES this means war! ovo TAG @doge3 ❀ | Most people looked forward to going outside, or partaking of things such as vacations. Kosuke though, well, he just found it too overwhelming to do too much...Unless some outside force like Takehiko made him. Disappointing his older brother was a good motivation, but even then, it was fairly easy for him to just put off going out into the world. In that sense, no, he didn't really like getting away from it all. He'd much rather stay home and work or blog or a variety of other things that didn't involve him panicking over interactions with other individuals. But then...Sometimes he did go outdoors and things turned out well. Like this meeting. It was overwhelming but he was making a new friend...Even if that new friend seemed to be particularly adept at pushing the buttons of his nerves.
He simply stood uncertainly, blinking a few times, much like some shellshocked school boy, as he stared at Chiro. At least he had finally managed a response, right? Hopefully that'd mean something would happen soon. The look on the male's face was a bit nerve-wracking, as he wasn't sure how to take the sudden hardness in those blue eyes...But as soon as he started fretting about it, it was gone. Replaced by a grin. And then he had his freedom back just as quickly as his space had been invaded. His chest heaved with a low breath of relief and he smiled sheepishly. Raising one hand to absently fuss with a few of his bangs, he tucked them behind his ears before latching back onto his scarf.
"Good, that's, that's good," He said with a light nod. This guy was really enthusiastic about the whole thing and that just made him even happier, albeit still a little tense but, that was better than nothing right? Having someone to play video games with in the real world was great -- but he suddenly realized something. Kosuke so rarely had acquaintances outside of his brother that it took him a while to remember yes, they'd need some way to communicate for their next meeting.
"Um...Do you want to exchange numbers or e-mails, um...so we can meet up again? If--if that's okay with you, I mean?"

just your luck KOSUKE AKIYAMA - you are no match for my blanket burrito forces >:U also, chiro is a bit of a dumb lol Again, he was amused by the man's responses, chuckling to himself when he released that sigh of relief. If they hung out often after this, he was definitely going to have to teach him to loosen up a bit, if simply for the sake of the blue-haired fellow's health. Being so frightened all the time by people could not be healthy in the slightest. Or, at least, he couldn't ever see himself being so timid around others. It seemed more of a hassle guarding yourself like that when there were so much fun experience to be had outside of your safety zone. Of course, then again, that could have just been him. He was a very outgoing and adventurous individual, after all. Regardless, if he had the chance he would definitely try to help the other relax. But, today, he'd behave as much as he possibly could. That would be awful to make a friend and lose one within less of an hour.
With that settled, Kichiro found himself unsure what to do, for once in his life. Usually, he'd drag whoever he could along on his adventures but trying to be careful with Mr. Shy Guy as he now settled on calling him, he'd have to take it one step at a time. And that took more thought than he was used to. Such mind power that caused him to go blank for a moment, the young man reaching up to his hair to scratch behind one of the hidden ears within. Hmm... This would definitely be a challenge. What could he propose if he didn't want to freak him out too much? At the same time, what if he had somewhere to be now? How would he approach that question without making the guy go all awkward? He realized he didn't like thinking before acting much. It simply wasn't his style. He'd make sure to remind this guy later how appreciative he should be for his courtesy. But these thoughts were broken off as he'd spoken again, this time something that silenced the cat rather quick.
- "Um...Do you want to exchange numbers or e-mails, um...so we can meet up again? If--if that's okay with you, I mean?"
"Huh?" he questioned with a tilt of the head, his tail flickering beneath his shirt at the confusing question. At least until he realized the small mistake he might have made. These were things humans communicated through. Going from a homeless kitten to a pet urakata, it was really no surprise he'd had no real experience with them. Course, if he was gonna play as a human, he supposed he was gonna have to play along with everything, right? He just wasn't entirely sure what a satisfying response would be.
"Er... Uh... I mean... I would! If I actually had those things!" he smiled nervously, scratching the back of his head. "That's not weird, is it? Not having a number or e-whatever?" he questioned with slight uneasiness in those blue eyes of his. He might have just fucked himself over. It was kind of weird for a human teen to not have those things. But he wasn't human. He was an urakata who'd never really needed to use those things. Of course, he was kind of saddened he didn't. That might have been his only way of meeting him again. He could have lied, made up something. But that would just end up an even bigger mess.
"I don't know. I guess I'm just sorta old fashioned with some things?" he continued to try and excuse, possibly only digging a bigger grave. His instincts were telling him now was probably the time to make an escape, before anyone could even have a chance to catch him. But at the same time, his curiosity beckoned him to stick around, no matter the risk. Curiosity killed the cat? He was never really a fan of the saying but it really could apply in this situation. Not literally. He hoped. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

NOTES lol d'aww TAG @doge3 ❀ | It wasn't like he offered to give people his number or e-mail very often, so most of his attention was fixated on Chiro's face. He looked very intent, almost anxious, as he awaited a response. Hopefully he had handled the question well, after all, he didn't want to seem rude or overstep any boundaries. As prone to worrying as he was he couldn't help but stand there and over-analyze what he had said, chastising himself inwardly for perceived faults. He wasn't smooth about this by any means...Suddenly, the roles seemed to be reversed, and he blinked a bit in confusion at the response he received. His new friend of sorts didn't seem like the type to get nervous very easily from what he'd seen so far...So for a moment Kosuke worried that he had said something wrong.
"Um..." Less of an interjection really and more just something for him to say to release some of his nerves, he blinked a few times as he watched Chiro. But then an explanation came, and he was both simultaneously relieved and further confused. At least it wasn't something he had done, right? But not to have a cellphone or e-mail in this day and age seemed strange...Well, maybe, he was on the extreme regarding tech...Perhaps Chiro was on the opposite end? He liked video games, though...
His brow furrowed bit in an outward sign of his uncertainty. "Um...It is but um...It's not like I'm not weird either, r-right?" He couldn't help but think it was strange, but he didn't want to be rude. Tugging absently at his scarf, he hummed in thought as he eyed the other male, thinking.
After a few moments, he patted himself down, before giving a small huff in disappointment. Of course he didn't have a pen on him, he had no reason to carry one really. "Do you have anything to write with? Ah, I could...give you my number...and you could, um, use a payphone...maybe?"

just your luck Maybe he could have given the auction house phone number? He doubted they'd allow him phone time though. As much as the place was like a jail, prisons were much more tame compared to his 'home'. At least, that's what people said anyway. He couldn't be too sure himself, as he'd never actually been in jail before. Nor did he plan to anytime soon. Besides, even if they did, he was sure his friend here would be rather shocked by the discovery, perhaps not too pleased with the fact he'd lied to him. Though, technically, he wouldn't call this lying. He just wasn't telling the truth. Big difference! What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him.
- "Um...It is but um...It's not like I'm not weird either, r-right?"
He gave a mock pout, seeming a bit relieved by those words though. At least he wasn't questioning it. "I am offended!" he teased, unable to help but crack a goofy smile, hoping to assure him he was just joking. "I wouldn't say you were weird, though." he began with a wave of the hand. "Just a little backwards is all. Nothing wrong with that." he finished with a confirming nod. "Course it wouldn't hurt for you to relax either." he trailed off, seeming to speak what was on his mind rather keeping said thoughts to himself. He didn't mean it to be rude. Kichiro just figured he'd be much less tense if he learned how to let go a bit. But who was he to judge someone he'd only just met. That would be too rude.
- "Do you have anything to write with? Ah, I could...give you my number...and you could, um, use a payphone...maybe?"
"Hmm..." he mused out loud, patting himself down as well. There was his tail, conveniently wrapped around his waist. A couple of loose change, apparently not quarters. Some pocket lint and other useless junk he'd probably found on his way here. But no pens. "One sec!" he stated, holding up his index finger as if to tell him to stay before running off to the front of the arcade, expecting him to wait as he'd asked. Not long after, he returned after hassling a pen out of one of the employees of the place whom had agreed to give him a pen if he left him be. He could do that, he supposed. For now, anyway. Frankly, he'd made no promises but, eager to get back, he didn't object.
Chiro had returned, pen held triumphantly in hand before he held out the pen to his new companion. "Here ya go. Guy said you could keep it." he stated with a smile. Actually, he didn't say that. But he assumed a missing pen wouldn't cause too much of a fuss. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

NOTES <3~ TAG @doge3 ❀ | The grin definitely helped dissuade him of his habit of taking things seriously at face value. Instead of panicking too much he instead smiled awkwardly, rubbing lightly at the back of his head. "Haha, um, yeah. My big brother says that sort of stuff all the time, too..." He knew Takehiko meant well, honestly, and he loved his big brother for being so understanding and supportive...But sometimes it could be a bit much for his anxiety. At least right now wasn't so bad. There was a little too much going on for him to dwell too long on any one thing in particular. Head tilted, he watched Chiro pat himself down, wondering if the other would have more luck than he had. It didn't seem so, but then the other man was off, intent for a writing utensil.
Kosuke merely blinked, nodding once as he lingered in place, not about to wander off too far just in case. He decided to pass the time seeing what he could write on, and eventually came up with a receit he had in his jacket pocket from who knows how long ago. Whatever, it'd work right? When he heard approaching footsteps he glanced back up and smiled a bit. "Good--good job," He said with some enthusiasm, happy to have a way to remedy the situation. Leaning against the game cabinet, he set down the receipt and jotted down his number. Once he was finished, he straightened up his posture and turned towards Chiro.
"Here, um, you go," He held out the slip of paper and nodded towards it, "That's my cellphone number, um. I might not pick up, I can get...um...easily distracted by work," Oh, the wonders of the internet, he could lose himself for hours, "But just leave a voice mail, sound...sound good?"

just your luck - "Good--good job."
The praise was met with a very happy grin, quite pleased with himself despite the very small achievement. He was just a people pleaser, he supposed. "Mhmm~" he hummed in a cheery tone, patiently waiting for him to jot down the number for him. He'd only hope he wouldn't actually lose it later, or worse, have it confiscated when he returned. That would be a shame. He'd try and make sure that didn't happen though. If only to make certain he'd be able to meet this guy again. Rematch or not, he quite enjoyed hanging out with his friends when given the chance.
He took the receipt, for a moment confused by the other words before noticing the actual number, reading it mentally a few times to memorize it before folding it and tucking it away in his pocket. He'll have to try and gather some change if he did want to use a payphone though. He made a mental note to search for some on his way home.
- "That's my cellphone number, um. I might not pick up, I can get...um...easily distracted by work. But just leave a voice mail, sound...sound good?"
Might not pick up? Well he supposed if he'd be busy it was understandable. He'd have to figure out how the hell he was supposed to leave a voice mail but he decided it was better to figure that out on his own. He'd already looked strange as it seemed, might as well not push it. "Sounds perfect." he nodded with a chuckle. He could handle it, right? Shouldn't be too hard. He decided to be optimistic about it as usual. "I'll try not to call you too much." he added with a wink. Teasing, but pretty much true. He doubted he'd be able to call a lot, if at all. But, again, he didn't have to know that. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

NOTES nooo don't die museee could always wrap up tho if need be? nbd /laid back TAG @doge3 ❀ | A small laugh escaped him and he rubbed at the back of his neck for a beat or two before letting his hand trail back to his scarf. "Good--I, um...I don't know if I could handle tons of phone calls," Well, at least he was honest. Not like it was any big secret how awkward he could be though, it was practically written all over him. Really, he didn't know how Takehiko managed to deal with his work and other people so regularly in his day to day life. Even a pleasant experience like this made him want to curl up in bed and nap off all the pent-up anxiety. Oh the joys of being an introvert. Shoulders rolling in a small shrug, he did his best to push away the residual nervousness lingering about him. He had given someone else his number, that was a positive step, right? Big brother should be proud.
Of course now he was struck with what to do next. What was a normal course of action after exchanging numbers? Hanging out more, he supposed, but he wasn't the type to just invite someone over out of the blue. Absently he hummed quietly as he thought, fingers tap-tapping lightly against the sides of his scarf. Head tilted, long blue bangs swaying against the sides of his face, he peered up to Chiro, searching the male's features curiously. "Are you, um, on the way to anywhere? I could, um...walk you--or--or something? I should probably check back in with...um...my brother soon, but--" Wow, that sounded really silly, didn't it? Oh god. His brow furrowed slightly and he flustered, clutching a bit tighter at his scarf.
"I mean...um...Not--not to sound weird--or...or...anything...I just--um..." Inhaling deeply, he shook his head, nose scrunched up slightly. "I just, uh...it...seemed...like a good thing to offer? Or--yes..." Way to be captain awkward, Kosuke. He offered his new friend a sheepish smile and chuckled a bit at himself. "I...don't do this a lot--obviously--...ha..." Well, at least he was trying, right? He just repeated that to himself multiple times internally. Trying was better than not doing anything at all. Yes. Breathe. Don't freak out about making yourself sound like a fool. It was going to be okay.

just your luck KOSUKE AKIYAMA - //shrug// tis up to you. i'll get my muse back up eventually tho uwu It seemed his empty threat was more appreciated than he'd originally thought. He would have tsked, playfully of course, but seemed to be slowly learning. Sides, at least he was honest about it. It would be much worse if he were in self denial about the whole thing. Accepting was the first step in solving a problem, right? Though, it might have been rude to consider his introverted self a problem but he didn't really see it that way entirely. Humans were supposed to be social creatures, yes? So it was only natural for him to expect that. Same way he had to anticipate being called out as an animal despite his more human appearance. Just came with the name.
Things got silent after that and the feline couldn't help finding the situation a little awkward himself, enough so for his eyes to wander the rest of the arcade from the corner of his eyes to at least pretend the other male had his interest still while the blue eyes might have said otherwise. It wasn't anything personal. He just had a really short attention span. It was a curse, really. But luckily, things were saved when his friend spoke up again, his voice regathering his attention fully, moreso when the confused urakata was trying to gather what he was trying to stammer out, his own head tilting a bit while one of his ears flickered curiously.
- "Are you, um, on the way to anywhere? I could, um...walk you--or--or something? I should probably check back in with...um...my brother soon, but--"
He scratched his chin, brow cocked as he tried to translate what had been said. Replaying the words in his head, it seemed he wanted to walk him wherever he intended to go. Did he have anywhere to go? Auction House, for sure. He'd have to return eventually or further provoke their wrath when he finally showed up late or they had to drag him home by his tail. He flinched slightly at the thought, bottom lip poking out in a slight pout. He really didn't want to go home so soon but it would probably be the best idea. But that simply made it difficult if he were to accept his walk home. How was he gonna explain that? "Erm..." he continued to think, finding himself in a bit of a dilemma. He certainly would have liked to tag along more if possible.
- "I...don't do this a lot--obviously--...ha..."
Hmm... Well he supposed that settled it then! He gave a nod, chuckling at the poor man's frustration. "No! It's fine." he assured, waving off Kosuke's nervousness as unnecessary. "I don't have anywhere to be for another hour or so." he began with a small sigh. Might fuck him over later taking his time like this, but he really didn't want to end the fun so soon. He'd take whatever punishment came his way. He was sure it'd be worth it. And once Kichiro settled on something, there was no changing it. "But if you've got to go anywhere, I'd be happy to accompany you." he completed with a mock bow. "Body guard, Kichiro at your service." he winked playfully. It was probably a long shot, he realized. When he mentioned checking in with his brother, he might have just meant calling him or something. But since he had offered a walk, he decided he'd like to take it. Just might require a bit of a change in destination. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

NOTES ear scritchies for doge TAG @doge3 ❀ | Yup, the awkward silence and quiet 'erm' was about to set him fretting all over again. Way to put your new friend on the spot, Kosuke. Head cocked, he peered at Chiro with quiet intensity, as if he was hoping to some how apologize through the strength of a stare. But then the male waved his hand and dismissed his nervousness just like that. The programmer blinked a few times in quick succession and let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. Oh, good. Crisis averted. Now he just had to think about where to go. Well, it was true he wanted to check in with his brother, he could just text him...But what if Takehiko was in the middle of something? He supposed the best thing then was to just drop by home and see what was going on. He could text or call from there. "Um..." He hmmed quietly and, fidgeting with his scarf, offered a sheepish smile. "I was probably just going to--uh, walk home. But, um. Bodyguard Chiro is welcome to, um, accompany me..."
Giving a small stretch, he smoothed out the front of his jacket and nodded. "It's not too terribly far, um, so yeah! This way..." And so he waited long enough to make sure that Chiro was okay with the plan before padding off in the direction of the exit of the arcade. Once they got to the door, he'd hold it open for his companion and ducked through. The cool air outside felt nice against his skin and for a moment he paused and inhaled deeply. Let the fresh crisp oxygen help wash away the anxiety he had worked himself up into. Soon he'd have plenty of stories to tell Takehiko and it'd be great.
"Um...Do you have any siblings, Chiro?" Kosuke asked quietly as he glanced at the other man from the corner of his vision. Small talk was a good way to keep the silence from getting too tense, he only hoped that the topic would be okay. It seemed like a good thing to bring up, what with his older brother on his mind.

just your luck He waited quite patiently for his answer, bottom lip pursed out a bit as he attempted some kitten eyes to further convince him it was a good idea. And much to his pleasure, he had agreed to the idea. "Alright!" he shouted happily, his voice carrying once again and gathering a few glares from unamused others. Certainly didn't phase him a bit, though. And when Kosuke directed him out, he followed along obediently, grinning like an idiot. He, on the other hand, was oh so easily amused. This was basically a thrill for him, even if it seemed so simple.
Kichiro walked along beside him once outside, curious eyes searching the area he'd seen countless of times before but somehow he'd always found new things to explore. He restrained himself though, reminding himself that he had company now and couldn't just run off towards anything that sparked his attention. Even when those birds flocked in an open area perfect for chasing. He'd just have to come by later and check if they were still around. Another mental note tucked away for later.
- "Um...Do you have any siblings, Chiro?"
That seemed to be enough to rope his attention, blue eyes turning to face him before nodding with a chuckle. "Well... Adopted sibling anyway." he explained, though for all he knew, he could have had other brothers or sisters out there. You could never be too sure when your past was so spotty. "Older brother, Daisuke. He was pretty cool, he was the one who introduced me to games." he chuckled. And he introduced him to plenty of other things as well, darker things that perhaps shouldn't be shared, but things that helped him survive nonetheless. But, again, better to keep that part to himself. "Haven't been able to see him for a while though." he admitted. Another odd thing to say, for a human at least. But it was quite normal for urakata to be separated from family and like all others, he'd adjusted. Of course, he couldn't deny missing him still. It would be nice to see him again. Though knowing the fellow feline, he probably wouldn't appreciate how easy he's come to accept slavery. They were rather rebellious back in the day, you know.
"How about your, bro? He cool too?" he asked with another one of his winning smiles. Small talk or legitimately wanting to know? A little bit of both, really. He was a curious cat, after all. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

NOTES all the gushing lol TAG @doge3 ❀ | Kosuke could count on one hand the conversational subjects he could speak about without feeling too awkward. The first obviously would be technology and programming, obviously. He could ramble for hours about his job non-stop and still be good to go for many more. The second would be video games, a topic they had already sort of bonded over earlier. The third...was his brother. His eyes positively lit up when he heard that Chiro had an older sibling as well. Adopted, sure, but that didn't make much difference to him...They were still brothers, right? And that's what was important! "Aren't--Aren't older brothers great?" He found himself blurting before he could really stop himself. His expression turned sheepish for a moment and he cast his attention elsewhere, turning his face away as he stared off into the distance.
"Yeah! My brother's great! His, um, his name is Takehiko and he's a musician," Without really being cognizant of it, he had started to talk with his hands, though his fingers were still clutched around his scarf...So the fabric flourished with each movement. "He, he's great at pretty much everything. Like, um, like making friends, and being cool, and...and taking care of things...and...Knowing the right thing to do at the right time..." His cheeks flushed slightly as he spoke, and he inhaled deeply as soon as he came to the end of his rambling. For a couple moments he was silent, before he finally realized that he had just ignored everything that Chiro had said in his outburst.
"Oh! But--um--...You haven't seen your brother in a while? That's really sad, I'm--I'm sorry. I don't know what I'd do if Takehiko wasn't around...Did Daisuke go...out of the country or something?" Given the fact that he hadn't caught onto anything too odd about his new friend yet, that was the most reasonable explanation he could come up with. "How do you--how do you cope?" Ah, here he was, assuming that everyone was just as attached to their siblings as he was. But it was a natural leap for him, really, as his brother was such a big part of his life that it was hard for him to imagine others having relatives and not being equally connected.

just your luck It seemed this was just about as much as a winning topic as video games were and Chiro couldn't help but smirk as his eyes lit up, listening with interest as he went off on his rampage about his brother. He certainly wasn't bothered by it, if anything amazed by how talkative he suddenly became, nervousness barely noticed in his words. There was certainly no doubt that he loved his older brother, much like Kichiro had back in the day. Frankly, he still found himself gloating about how awesome the other urakata was. So he could certainly understand Kosuke's rambling. "Sounds awesome!" he chuckled with a toothy grin, certainly amused as well as impressed. Though, then again, that itself didn't seem to take much.
- "Oh! But--um--...You haven't seen your brother in a while? That's really sad, I'm--I'm sorry. I don't know what I'd do if Takehiko wasn't around...Did Daisuke go...out of the country or something?"
He smiled, shaking his head and hoping he'd calm down. While his sentiments were appreciated, he didn't think it was anything to be sad about. At least, not currently. He didn't want to sour the mood. "Well he could be, for all I know." he began, stretching his arms behind his head. "We got separated when I was a kid." he admitted openly before adding a bit of an excuse afterwards. "I was kinda adopted into a different household." he finished. It wasn't a total lie. Replace adopted for sold and it was basically the same thing. "So I haven't really been able to talk to him since." For such a tale, he did seem to be coping relatively well. It was sad, sure. He would have liked to have his brother around more than anything. But compared to the tough past he'd had before, he considered this new life of his a bit easier. Didn't have to constantly worry about getting food or being captured. The threat of mother nature wasn't as deadly and when you got sick, you got somewhat proper treatment as opposed to sitting around, waiting for fate to decide what to do with you. His brother certainly wouldn't have appreciated it as much as he did. He was a wild spirit who'd much prefer death over ever being a slave. Though he couldn't understand why, he wouldn't argue his older brother's judgement. So long as he was okay.
- "How do you--how do you cope?"
He tilt his head at this, seeming genuinely confused. But then he looked even more puzzled, having to take a moment to think about the answer himself. Well... How did he? It certainly wasn't easy at the start. He didn't realize how much he'd depended on his brother till he'd been torn away from him. He wouldn't eat, couldn't sleep. He was so depressed by it at first that he'd cried a lot more than he'd like to admit. But he adjusted. You had to to survive. Besides, knowing his brother, he'd call him out for being a big baby crying over him like that. So he toughened up, accepted his situation, and discovered it wasn't as bad as he thought it was. It just would have been much better if he were around. "You just sorta have to." he finally offered after some debate. "It's not easy but.." he trailed off, still not too certain about it himself. He ended up giving up though with a chuckle. "Sides, he'd pick on me if he knew I was getting upset over it." he smirked.
"ACTUALLY!" he began with a sudden look of awe in his eyes, "Maybe if I got upset, he'd show up and try to kick my ass! Then I could capture him!" he joked, an attempt to ease the situation. He didn't like when things got overly serious, nor did he enjoy dwelling on negative emotions for too long. "Ahhh but what if he did kick my ass and ran away before I could catch him?!" he whined mockingly. "I'll have to think out this plan better." he finished with a playful smile.
"But don't worry. I doubt Takehiko would ever let that happen to you. He seems like a pretty neat guy." he nodded, hoping to alleviate any worries he might have had about the topic. Their situations themselves were so different so surely nothing like that would ever happen to him. Unless he were an urakata? Was he? Kichiro took another look just to be sure before nodding in confirmation. He was in fact human. So he was safe. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE

NOTES he's like a fanboy idek TAG @doge3 ❀ | "He really is!" 'Awesome' was a wonderful descriptor for his older sibling, the man truly could do no wrong in his eyes. Ever since their parents had uprooted to retire, the older male had taken on a father or guardian type role as well as being the bigger brother. Naturally Kosuke had come to rely on him for a great deal of things. Takehiko was one of his biggest motivators for going outside and trying to have at least a tiny scrap of a social life...Really, he was the one to thank that the programmer had even been out and about for their little gaming session. If it hadn't been for his older brother's coaxing, he likely would've spent the whole day cooped up at home working on a new line of code or blogging as usual. As much as he grumbled about it internally at times, sometimes good things happened when he was pushed outside.
Head tilted, he watched Chiro as they walked, listening to his explanation. His brow furrowed slightly. Adopted into different households? That really was sad. But...The other male seemed rather well adjusted to his circumstances, so perhaps it was best if Kosuke just let the subject drop. After all, if Kichiro wasn't upset then he shouldn't get too upset either -- that'd be rude, right? Still though, he wasn't sure if he could handle being separated from Takehiko as well. His new friend must've been made of some stern stuff, that was for sure. "Well, um--I bet he's still...ah...happy you think of him! I know um, I would be! If -- If I ever got separated from my brother..."
Chiro's plan caused him to blink a few times before it settled in that no, it was unlikely this was a serious suggestion, and he gave a sheepish smile. "Yeah, um, yeah a better plan might be good..." Kosuke paused, then gave an awkward grin. "You're right, though, Takehiko--he'd--he wouldn't leave, so yeah! Maybe...Maybe I can introduce you two some time. That'd be cool! I--I bet he'd be happy I'm, um, making friends..."

just your luck - "Well, um--I bet he's still...ah...happy you think of him! I know um, I would be! If -- If I ever got separated from my brother..."
He sure as hell hoped so. Actually, he hoped for a lot of things. That he was alive and well, that he was happy, among other things. But most importantly, he really hoped for the chance to see him again. He quite missed the older sibling, which was quite understandable given his history with him. As Takehiko became Kosuke's guardian, so too did his adopted brother. He was basically the only family he had once his mother had died. It would be quite upsetting for the urakata to realize he truly was alone in this world now. But, again, he tried not to linger too much on that. Such serious topics were stressful, if not boring for the feline. He'd much prefer the conversation to go elsewhere.
When the other male agreed that a better plan might be necessary, he gave a sigh as he nodded, "Back to the ol' drawing board," he chimed. Though he was obviously playing around before, perhaps a plan to meet the other urakata wouldn't be such a bad idea. It would just be incredibly difficult to come up with something when he had absolutely no idea where to start. How hard could it be, right? Yeah. Don't answer that. He'd figure out some way, he was sure. A little reunion was in order.
- "You're right, though, Takehiko--he'd--he wouldn't leave, so yeah!"
"Course I'm right! I'm always right!" he chuckled playfully, glad he was no longer troubled by that if he was anyway. Being a human, his new companion had much better chances in avoiding such a terrible incident. Besides, from what he could gather, they seemed pretty close. And while he and his adopted brother were relatively close as well, they were torn apart through external means. If it weren't for that hunter they tried to pickpocket, they might have never been separated. He was sure it would have to take something big like that for Kosuke to ever have to worry, so as far as the cat was concerned, he was in the clear. He actually sort of envied him because of that. Oh well. Can't change the past.
- "Maybe...Maybe I can introduce you two some time. That'd be cool! I--I bet he'd be happy I'm, um, making friends..."
"Oh~!" he began as he leaned in perhaps too close. "We're friends now, are we~?" he teased, unable to mask that grin of his. He'd already considered them friends the moment he spoke to him, but hearing it from the man himself was quite pleasant to the urakata. There really was no hiding that happiness. He retracted though before the male could get too uncomfortable, snickering to himself. "Yeah. I'd like that actually." he agreed, certainly having no problem meeting him sometime. The more the merrier, right? "Gotta meet this awesome brother you're totally fanboying over." he smirked teasingly, not meaning to insult. He actually found it cute, to be quite honest. But saying that kind of stuff, to another guy at least, never really went over so well from past experience. So he kept those details to himself. made by CAPTAIN of GANGNAM STYLE
