The humans are long extinct, and all that is left to remind us of their existence is the sullen bones of old buildings, and the destruction that has threatened our survival ever since. We have changed, many of us mutating to avoid extinction. Many other species of animals followed the humans to their demise, but not we. We didn't get off free. Many of our race had been wiped out by the deadly disease that the humans had created, and many more had lost their lives due to factory malfunctions. Yet, we prevailed.
Fifty years have passed since the apocalyptic events took place, but survival is still a struggle. Life is far from easy, and hope is hard to come by. Many will not survive, but more shall prevail.
