AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | He hated this place. The urakata growled at the thought, the dangerous sound catching few people's attention. The regulars were quite used to his temper tantrums, brushing it off as nothing. Though those who weren't well adjusted with the dragon seemed a bit fearful. Understandably given the fact he was indeed a dragon. You either had to be very brave or very stupid to not shit your pants if he so much as glared at you with those blood red eyes. Luckily for them, aside from the growl he didn't show much of a threat. The winged teen seemed exhausted, having a rough night before. He was irritable, unwilling to deal with anyone's shit, but far too tired to cause any real danger. That thought perhaps bothered him the most. He himself felt so weak from exhaustion and he certainly didn't want these rich bastards taking him so lightly.
What exactly had kept him up all night? Dreams. And these were quite vivid. Some even troubling. He shuddered slightly at the thought, instinctively clenching to that broken locket of his. He often wondered if the item was the sheer cause of all this. He couldn't remember much about his past but perhaps it was a clue as to how he landed here. The thought once made him chuck it away in anger, only for the dragon to regret his decision and not let up his yelling till someone finally returned it to him. He sighed at the thought, closing his eyes as he attempted to get a quick snooze despite all the noise. The auction house was quite lively at this hour. And unfortunately for him, he was relatively popular with big shots wanting to blow all their money on anything that would make them look powerful. They had a tendency to change their minds though, once he gave a lovely first impression. Their expressions made the punishments worth it, he supposed. The mischievous dragon finding it quite entertaining to terrify people. Funny how his younger self might have scolded him for such acts. Oh well... He supposed people changed.
Further attempting to shield himself from the pests outside his cage, he curled his wings around himself, trying to block out the world entirely and almost managed until someone managed to poke him. Like the wild beast he was, he released a warning growl, loud enough for the perpetrator to here. It managed to stop them for a moment before they poked again. Unfortunately for that poor human, he had a very short fuse and was much quicker to anger when he was tired. "FUCK OFF" he snarled as he lifted up enough to glare at them straight in the eyes, flashing off his sharpened fangs. While effective, it had it's side effects. Such as a nasty shock from the blasted collar he wore.
The previously frightened child seemed quite amused by his pain, laughing before running off at the demand of his parents. Tamotsu panted a bit as he sat up, wings folding back as he tried to catch his breath. "Fucking humans..." he thought with such bitterness. He certainly was in no mood to deal with anyone today. At the very least, his anger was dully noted and the once who had witnessed his outburst made themselves scarce. At least they weren't too stupid.

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 Rika didn't like this place. Everything about it made her skin crawl. From the outside it looked like a palace but on the inside it was anything but. She had never really approved of the slave concept when she had heard about it but in America it hadn't been as bad as this. Maybe a few states there had them, but here it was like a second nature.
It was sick and she went off on anyone who was overly cruel. Though it normally got her into trouble it was totally worth it. She hated seeing things like this, so when her mother told her they were coming here she had been anything but pleased. Rika felt almost sick looking at how cruel humans could be and was actually disgusted that she was actually a part of the same race.
Her mother had gone off somewhere while she had been yelling at someone and now she was hopelessly lost. Lost to wander this awful place and see the cruel things that she couldn't of imagined otherwise. "People are so ignorant." she mumbled to herself. The only difference she saw was maybe a few animal ears and that set them up for this life.
Rika had almost turned a corner when a loud shout caught her attention. She looked back her pigtails bouncing a bit from the sudden movement. It sounded like someone being stupid again. She quickly turned to walk that way as she noticed several others leaving the direction she had came from. She was curious as to what had happened.
Pushing past those trying to get past her she snorted. "Well excuse you too!" she grunted at a man who had almost shoved her over on his way out. Guess all people in here were asshats, maybe it should of been them in the cages and not these poor people stuck here. She had almost missed him just then as she grunted at the man who completely ignored her.
Heavy breathing caused her eyes to turn in the direction of a cage to her left. She blinked a bit and frowned some going that way and bending down some. "You okay? I promise not all humans are this ba-" she stopped though as she actually got a closer look at the male who was hiding himself in the back of the particular cage.
Her eyes almost shook and she could swear she was having a dream or a nightmare perhaps. "Tamotsu?" she asked weakly. All traces of spite and that stubborn attitude of hers gone. It was replaced now by a meek little girl who almost felt like a child again. "Tamotsu.. is that you?" CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | He was quite used to the treatment, as sad as it sounded. He'd been in this hellhole off and on for years so he was quite used to how cruel people could be. It had mostly tainted his opinion on them. He was convinced they were all nothing but horrible creatures. So he was certainly quite surprised when he heard a voice, one that seemed much different than the usual tone's he was familiar with. He didn't give her attention, however, rubbing at his collared neck as he tried to regain his composure. It was a girl. He doubted she'd be much trouble. Girls typically were afraid of dragons, right? Course he wasn't so lucky, ears catching the approaching footsteps till he could sense her right outside his cage. He was too weakened to do much about it though, letting her get her fill at the sight of him. The thought made him frown slightly.
- "You okay? I promise not all humans are this ba-"
First he had to question why she cared. They usually didn't. At least not genuinely concerned with the living beings themselves so much as their purchased merchandise. But he was further confused as to why she stopped talking, lifting his bagged eyes somewhat curiously to see what had caused her to pause. He was met with a shocked expression and strangely enough, a familiar face. He couldn't quite tell where he'd seen her before, only assuming she must have passed by once or twice in the auction house. But the fact she personally knew his name was another story. A story that immediately peeked his interest. The dragon boy lifted his head up fully to face her, the look of confusion clear on his face. She apparently knew him. And an odd feeling told him he'd met her before, despite not knowing when, how, or even her name. Though those green eyes certainly seemed very familiar. He couldn't understand it.
He blinked in confusion before finding his tongue. "Yeah..?" he began with a low growl. "Who are you?" he finally asked with slight uneasiness that he himself wasn't used to, still seeming unsure about her and keeping his distance. Something about her was different and he wasn't sure if that was actually a good thing. But searching her face further, he realized it was almost like the girl in his dreams though a bit more matured. Surely that couldn't be coincidence! Maybe he'd finally get to the bottom of this. With that in mind, he made his way a bit closer, waiting as patiently as he possibly could for an answer. "Out with it." he pressured, showing he wasn't that patient of a guy. He knew he was probably getting too excited for his own good, but he couldn't help it.

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 It was obvious he really wanted nothing to do with her. She really couldn't blame him considering what he was and how people had probably treated him. Rika felt bad for anyone who was born as an urakata. They had wonderful abilities and could do things humans couldn't so they had been enslaved out of fear, pride and hate.
All three things she detested about people. Fear was one thing but it shouldn't of led to the enslavement of an entire race in her opinion. They had just as much right of being free as the humans did. Though there was yet another thing she believed that people would make fun of her about. She was always different no matter where she went. Being different was painful, especially when no one really wanted to be your friend.
This outcome was unexpected however as the young girl stood there shocked. Her legs became shaky and it took all of her will not to start crying. For so long she believed she had lost him yet he was right here. He was only a few inches away and yet she felt he was on a different planet than him. One where.. she could just stare and say nothing. S-Since when had he been a urakata? That news shocked her just as much as seeing him alive, since she had believed him to be dead.
Her heart sputtered when he came closer a look of confusion crossing his face. Rika wasn't quite sure what his was about though, and she didn't question it. At least until he started speaking again. A slight growl came with his answer and she couldn't hold back a flinch as he spoke. Maybe... maybe he really did hate her. At least that was until the second part of his reaction. A deep gnawing pain struck at her chest at his next question.
She felt her entire body lock up with his question. Of anything she hadn't been expecting that and it was hard to stop the emotions that were flowing through her right now. Had she really been that forgettable? She hadn't stopped thinking about him for a moment of her life even while she was away for as long as she was.
"My name is Rika." she whispered unable to look him in the eye anymore. Her hand naturally clutched at her chest some where her locket hung underneath her shirt. Maybe.. maybe it was a big mistake coming back. He obviously hated her and didn't want to remember a selfish little girl that left him. A few tears started and once they did she couldn't stop them.
"I'm sorry.." she whispered. "I'm so sorry Tamotsu..." she almost begged the words. It was hard, really hard to know all this at once, and even harder to accept it. Her free hand moved to grip onto his cage some to hold herself up. Slowly moving forward she placed her forehead on the cold metal as the tears dripped onto her skirt and a few onto the stone floor. AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | Tamotsu hardly noticed her reaction to his growls, quite used to frightening others in such a simple way. Course, he meant nothing against her. He was only vocalizing in the way he was used to. But he took care to ease back a bit, noticing she looked like she was about to cry. And if there was one thing he really hated was seeing people cry. And the thought of this girl crying over a little growl was stupid in his mind. His brows furrowed at the thought. He just didn't understand what really was going on. If he had, he might have reacted differently. But for now, he kept silent, hoping she'd answer his questions if he behaved somewhat. He could demand them but he really wasn't in the mood for another shock so soon. So this would have to do.
- "My name is Rika."
He'd gotten his answer and sadly, he was a bit disappointed. He'd hoped hearing her name would be some huge revelation, that he'd get all his answers and finally figure out why this girl was constantly in his dreams. But instead, it left him more confused, with more questions than answers. Why did he recognize her? Who was she to him? Could she be why he was here? His head lowered a bit as he considered these thoughts, only getting frustrated when he couldn't remember anything. But he was soon broken out of it when he heard sniffling, looking up to find her crying. And for some odd reason, this particular crying really messed with his heart. He frowned at the thought, surprised when she continued, begging that she was sorry. What the fuck was going on?
She would only continue to cry, resting her head dangerously close to his cage. If it were someone else, he might have striked, the cage beast filled with enough rage to take it out on anybody who got too close. But this time, instead of anger, he felt pity. He still couldn't understand why her being upset bothered him so much. He couldn't even understand what she was apologizing for. Whatever the case, he wanted her to stop. And despite some reluctance, he pushed himself closer to the bars, checking to make sure no one was looking before he gently placed his hand over hers on the bar. "Stop crying." he almost ordered in a hushed tone. "I don't know what you're sorry about but if you keep this up, you're gonna flood me out." his expression serious but his tone had a slight tease to it, despite himself. He hardly understood why he cared so much about this particular human. Perhaps since she seemed nicer before he felt more compelled to respond the same. Either way, he seemed to have a calmer air around him now, that glare of his softening somewhat as he waited for her to get a hold of herself.
He decided he didn't care for this total stranger personally. That couldn't be the reason, right? It was simply because her being upset made him extremely uncomfortable. Course, he really couldn't shake the idea that there was something about her that drawn him in. Besides, he doubted he'd be able to get much information out of her in this state. He sighed at the thought, retracting his hand when one of the employees appeared. Didn't want anybody to get the wrong idea. This wasn't him getting soft. At least he tried to convince himself that. "Just calm down, alright? You're freaking me out.." he admitted once the unwanted presence would pass by. He was genuinely worried for a change. Whether it was over his own well-being or hers, he wasn't entirely sure yet. Subconsciously, however, he wanted to make sure she was alright.

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 Rika hated showing such weakness, but this was different than normal. This boy that she was crying over she had believed was dead. He was gone for so long or rather she had left him. Rika was a little scared about it all honestly. If she found him and he didn't want her she didn't know what she would do.
So it was hard to hear when he asked who she was. She felt herself break down a little before it happened. She promised herself she wouldn't cry like this but here she was doing it in front of him and anyone else who managed to walk by. She felt like a complete and utter idiot right now. She sniffled as she tried to wipe the tears away before she heard a slight noise.
Before she could look up she felt his hand touch hers. Rika couldn't explain the effect it had on her. It made her feel calm and she started to ease again. His words even more so helped and sniffled a bit. Rika slowly looked up and tried to wipe at her eyes though a small laugh came at the next part of his sentence.
"S-Sorry...it's.. it's really nice to see you again." she said. When he pulled away though her eyes widened and she almost freaked out. "Wait.. please don't pull away." she whispered. She had calmed down for the most part but she had started to get worked up again when he pulled away. She didn't know why it calmed her so much but it was him so she wasn't to surprised.
She couldn't help but let out a soft laugh at his statement. "I freak out a lot lately." she said softly. It wasn't a lie just in a different way. She looked at him gently. "It has been a really long time tamotsu.. i've missed you." she said softly. She moved her hand back to her chest keeping her other on the bar to his cage.
"do you still have it?" she finally asked. She looked down and used her free hand to slowly pull out her half of the locket. So many memories in that locket that she didn't think she would live out again. "I've never taken it off. I promised myself I would find you again." CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | He was certainly surprised his touch had a positve effect on her but was relieved nonetheless, especially as she seemed to calm down. It made that numb pain in his chest fade away somewhat though not completely. He was still a bit troubled himself, finding himself wanting to know more about this girl. Obviously they had to be close, right? She missed him for some reason. So why else would she cry over him? Even then, he wasn't entirely sure why she was apologizing if they were indeed close in the past but for now, he decided it wasn't necessary to know. Right away at least. So long as she stopped being so upset he'd feel a bit more at ease. He'd have to be a bit more careful in his approach to avoid making her break down again. And he almost fucked up when he removed his hand, confused at first, which seemed quite often today, before hesitantly returning his hand back where it were, his wings fluttering as he grew a bit anxious. "Humans don't usually want me touching them." he mused out loud enough for her to hear, a small mischievous smirk gracing his features. His teeth made it look much more threatening than he'd actually meant. He supposed being caged for so long messed up his social skills somewhat.
He realized he preferred her company much better when she was relaxed. Actually, he was surprised that he even enjoyed her company at that. He'd become a bit of a loner over the years since then but he felt more comfortable than usual, despite being separated by iron bars.
- "It has been a really long time Tamotsu.. I've missed you."
His frown returned at this. While he enjoyed the thought of being cared about and missed, he wish he could remember what exactly there was to be missed. He'd felt this longing he hadn't in a while. But there was also pain of which he couldn't quite understand yet. He brushed all these thoughts aside however when she spoke again, asking if "he had it". Had what? He tilt his head to the side a bit, about to press further when she pulled out a very familiar looking locket. Wait a second...
His eyes locked on the broken half of the ornament, studying it in disbelief before finally reaching into his pocket and pulling out the other half, holding it up for her to see, looking quite shocked to find the other half with her of all people. "You gave this to me?" he questioned after a moment of hesitance just to be sure he wasn't absolutely crazy. That was one mystery down, he supposed. He didn't mean to upset her again but he was so confused he really couldn't help himself. For once in a long time, he was quite desperate to find out what had happened.
- "I've never taken it off. I promised myself I would find you again."
Tamotsu couldn't understand why but those words made him feel happy. Enough so that that blasted chirp came out of him, causing his face to flush for a moment as he cleared his throat. "Eh..." he trailed off before switching the subject off of that. "I'm happy..." he admitted quietly. "But why would you want to find me? Why would you need to?" he questioned. It was a innocent question. He certainly didn't mean offense. He had no idea that he'd actually run away from her so many years ago. But he had to know these things if he wanted to understand what she was going through and how he ended up here if they knew each other in his past life.

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 Rika had used to hold his hand all the time. Back then it had been her favorite thing to do. Obviously that was another memory the other had seemed to forget. She felt a frown form as she thought of everything that he seemed to not remember. The young girl had no idea what had happened to him after she had left.
When he moved his hand back she eased again. Slowly she pulled her hand off of the bar to move her hand in his completely. She had once upon a time admitted to herself more than just a companionship to this boy. Maybe those feelings hadn't changed but now it was different since he didn't seem to have a recalled memory of her or maybe he just didn't want to.
"I used to hold your hand all the time. It was always so warm, and I was always so cold. You used to make fun of me for it." she said her eyes soft as she remembered the simple days of how life used to be. She gave him a gentle smile and came back. "Sorry.. I probably sound stupid." she said looking away some. Of course he wouldn't remember such pathetic things like she had all these years.
She could tell he seemed confused when she pulled her locket out and it hurt even more. But once he saw it, recognition covered his face. She watched as he pulled out the other half she had given him all those years ago. Rika could almost feel tears in her eyes again. "You did keep it." she whispered more to herself than him. It made her happy that he had.
Rika frowned even more though at his next question. "of course I gave it to you. D-Don't you remember?" she asked. This was all getting so confusing. Why was he treating her like such a stranger? She had expected maybe some anger but not him completely forgetting her. Maybe some things, but this was a bit to much.
She almost felt a bit to hurt by it. But then his next words made her feel just a bit better. "Happy? I-I'm glad I make you happy." she said. She blinked a bit at his next sentence and she reacted without thinking. "Because I love you..." she said. Oh dear.. wrong thing to say. A flush instantly moved over her face now. "I-I mean your my friend so... I wanted to find you again."
She played with her hands now looking away some. That was super awkward. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | He could tell the fact he couldn't seem to remember her made her sad. The frown said it all really. It wasn't like he wanted to forget. Right? He really wished he could remember. It would make this whole thing much less confusing for the both of them. Besides, it kind of hurt himself that he forgot someone he was actually really close to. He didn't get many friends nowadays and held onto them dearly. In a way, he felt like he let her down. The fact he didn't remember her must of seemed like a huge disappointment.
- "I used to hold your hand all the time. It was always so warm, and I was always so cold. You used to make fun of me for it."
"Sounds about right." he admitted with a smirk. It really seemed like it was something he would do. It was unfortunate he had to remember with her help but at least it was something. He had come to realize this wasn't some silly fairy tale. If he ever were to remember her, it was going to take some work and time. That is, if she'd ever actually see him again after this. That thought surprisingly hurt the worst. He hardly knew her but a part of him still seemed to respond to her. Suddenly he felt quite hopeless, much like he had been back then when they'd first met. At least he still looked like that little street rat. Only older and with much larger wings. He only shook his head when she apologized. "Stop apologizing." he stated with a roll of his eyes. It was pretty much a waste of time anyway. Since he had no idea what she was really apologizing for.
- "Of course I gave it to you. D-Don't you remember?"
First she was happy and then she was upset again. Perhaps it was better if he'd hold his tongue. Course, he wasn't very good at that to begin with so why bother? He gave a simple shake of the head to answer her question, following it up with a good excuse. "I can't hardly remember anything before being captured." he explained casually, not wanting her to think he'd forgotten her willingly. Cause as far as he knew, it was an accident. If he knew of the pain he put her through before that, he might have been the one apologizing in this situation. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he hurt someone he cared about. It didn't take much for him to find out at one point he really did, feeling so connected to her even now. He felt like he knew her forever despite only knowing her for not even an hour. That had to mean something.
He smiled when her spirits seemed to be lifted by her confession. To be honest, he hadn't been genuinely happy in a long while. It was strange to say the least but he wasn't complaining. Course he could do without that embarrassing chirping of his. Perhaps the worst part of being a dragon, he decided. Despite there being much more actual problems that come along with it. Course, those things never messed with his pride. Her next words, however, caught him completely off guard.
- "Because I love you..."
He couldn't help himself but smirk teasingly when she began to blush, the notion was rather cute. A human loving an urakata. Well. He certainly couldn't blame her. Of course before he could call her out on it, she pressed further, insisting it was because they were friends. Tamo decided it was best to not push her too far. Call it a hunch but he figured she wouldn't react too kindly to him messing with her. Besides, why ruin the moment? He shrugged at the thought, deciding to relieve her of the awkwardness and move the conversation along. "Well. You found me." he chuckled weakly. "Too bad it's not in the best of circumstances though." he continued, reminding himself he was indeed still trapped in this cramped cage. That soured his mood a bit, visibly by the smile fading completely before he sighed. "I wish I could remember what happened." he admitted, trying to get his mind off his current predicament and possibly think of better times. He would be mildly disappointed.

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 Well, there wasn't another time that she had felt like a child again. So many emotions were running through her and she couldn't understand them. She had thought many things and none of them had led to her finding him again. Rika had let so many things happen since then. Things that had almost ended her life a time or two along the way.
Many people had worried about her but only one had really mattered to her. During her time away he had not been the only one to suffer. She two had suffered and if she could she would of taken it back. Taken back everything that had happened. Maybe if she had convinced her parents. So many what's and if's that plagued her mind on a constant. Those questions had even more caught her since coming back. When he was gone, and no where to be found. A piece of her had gone missing.
His piece, so it was like finding your soul mate. She gave a small smile and giggle at his response. He had always been like that. Teasing her for no real reason but it had always been kind. He had never done anything to hurt her. "You were such a tease. Though the minute anyone tried to hurt me you got so defensive. I think one day you started arguing with a dog cause I was giving it to much attention." she let out a laugh and started to think about the days they had spent together.
Though her heart still ached from what had happened. "I'll try not to. It's still hard remembering what happened. I can't stop playing it back in my mind. So many possibilities I keep playing in my head." she[ said. Though at his answer her heart sank some. So that was it. She felt a few tears form again and she didn't apologize cause he asked her to.
She had left him and not only had he suffered she had made him lose his memories as well. Rika knew she had to be strong now, if anything to make up for what she had done wrong. She had to make it up to him and this was how she could do that. Though her mouth spoke she before her thought process did and she told him that she loved him.
While it may have been true it had been a long time. Tamotsu was different now, and he probably wouldn't feel the same anymore. Thankfully the other didn't press or tease her for it. She smiled some and moved her hand back to his squeezing it some. "no, no matter what situation I would be happy." she said softly. It was probably the most honest thing she had said.
His next sentence though made her look down. "... no you don't." she admitted quietly. It caused him to lose his memory once.. and if he remembered maybe he would hate her. "It may be selfish.. but I don't want you to remember. If you do... " she paused for a moment and tried to wipe at her tears again. "If you do you may decide to leave me again. I can't take it... I couldn't bare being without you again."
Her forehead hit the bars again as she shut her eyes and her body began to shake. Did she love him? In all the years she had been without him she had never felt like this. Once upon a time she might of said no, that he was just close to her. Seeing how this all made her feel.. even she couldn't deny it anymore. There was no doubt that even now...

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | - "You were such a tease. Though the minute anyone tried to hurt me you got so defensive. I think one day you started arguing with a dog cause I was giving it to much attention.""Well I don't know about that." he interjected when she claimed his jealousy over a dog, crossing his arms in a defiant manner. But sadly, it was quite true. He was pretty possessive even back then. She was the one thing he really considered his and the only thing he had to lose. So it was really no surprise that he would have reacted quite defensively if someone threatened to take her away from him, even if that wasn't even their intention. Once he was convinced, that was all it took for him to start fighting them off her. He wasn't much of the sharing sort. At least towards anyone besides her. Shame he couldn't remember that strong attachment to her quite well. Slowly, but surely, she was starting to paint a picture for him. Though it didn't seem like enough to exactly click quite yet. Which was probably for the best, really. But it was only the calm before the storm. He seemed a bit irked about her being upset. Not in the sense he found it annoying but rather the confusing feelings that came out of it. He was so used to being aloof, hardened to everyone around him. A sort of "me vs. the world" mindset. So he found it quite odd for himself to be so caring over her. But that just made him further believe she must have been really important to him. Enough so that he wanted to comfort her and make her forget all her troubles, something that seemed very strange coming from the rough dragon. Perhaps she was a previous master? No.. Couldn't be. He was quite convinced he was free before all this happened. Besides, he hardly could imagine himself being so friendly towards someone who ruled over him. There were other possibilities that came to mind but nothing seemed to fit the bond well enough. Then again, why was he worrying so much about it? These conflicting thoughts completely subsided whenever he noticed her becoming upset once again. It would seem his desire to remember was rejected. Why? - "It may be selfish.. but I don't want you to remember. If you do... If you do you may decide to leave me again. I can't take it... I couldn't bare being without you again."She'd rested her head on the bars again, her form shaking and he could already spot a few stray tears hitting the bottom of his cage. He couldn't lie and say he wasn't the least bit upset about it. She was right, it was indeed very selfish. She was basically his key to finding everything out. Where he'd went wrong, what had happened before his freedom was stolen. Fuck, even what had caused him to become more of a beast than he was already! But she wouldn't give him that satisfaction, it seemed and he was quite determined to find out why. Enough so not to keep his temper in check. "Yeah it is pretty fucking selfish..." he'd began, muttering. "Where the hell would I even go? Only way out is if someone decides to try and buy me again. Hell, you could even force me to stick around! Humans take what they want all the fucking time!" he stated bitterly, his emotions seeming to just be flooding out of control at this point. "If you couldn't bear being without me, why'd you fucking leave?!" he finished, those last words simply coming out of nowhere. Before he could even consider his little outburst, however, it seemed that shock collar came into play again, responding to his frustration with a matching volt to settle him down. Though it was hardly settling. The dragon had let go of her just in time, reaching desperately for that collar that was causing him such pain, trying to claw it off once again to no avail. Once he'd backed up again to the far end of his cage, the pain stopped, Tamotsu panting again as a human who handled the urakata approached the girl, checking to make sure the dumb dragon hadn't harmed one of their customers. "I wouldn't get too close, ma'am. This thing can be pretty dangerous." he'd warned, the irritated urakata glaring at the man. If looks could kill... "Are you alright?" Curious about the answer himself, he hesitantly looked over to her. Was that guilt written on his face? He couldn't understand it either. She'd made him so mad at that instant but now he was worried about her. He didn't want to hurt her. In fact, a strong part of him wanted nothing more than to protect her. Which was quite hard when the threat was yourself. But even still, he found himself irritated with her. What he'd said before. How'd he know she was the one who left? And why did just thinking about it hurt him so bad. He literally felt like his heart was being torn apart. Tamotsu at that moment wanted nothing more than to hold onto her and never let go. But he refrained. He fucked up. Now she was probably terrified of him. She might even leave now. His head lowered, the dragon resting his arms on his curled up knees as he offered a very low "Sorry.." He'd expected the worse now, but hoped for the best. If she left him, again apparently, perhaps he simply deserved it. {{ drama bomb! idk what happened there. my muse just sorta flooded out. i apologize to poor rika. i promise, he'll stop being so angsty eventually lol}}

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 Rika couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. He didn't think he would but she could almost swear he had. The other had really been crazy back then after all. Though even being crazy she still thought the world of him. She still did for that fact. There was no one else she would of rather found here. She had always cared about him and that hadn't changed now.
"Hmm.. maybe it was just my imagination." she teased giving him the benefit of the doubt. She was just glad he was here and that she had found him again. It was nice to be happy for a little bit before things got a little out of hand. Rika felt her heart dropped as he asked about the past. Their past had been happy before that day.
That day had changed everything and she hadn't been able to do anything. Of course that meant that it was her fault. She had changed his life and it didnt matter what the reason was for leaving. Rika didn't care or think about what had happened to her during the separation since it wasn't as important as him. So his response to her words didn't surprise her.
She couldn't stop the fact that it hurt though. She flinched now and clutched the bar some as he spoke. It didn't help any with the tears that had started to fall. "I didnt..." she couldn't finish as he continued and each second dug more and more at her heart. It was all her fault.. all of it. He did hate her and she should of known better. The last part really broke her heart and she slowly let go her head falling.
She didn't move at all anymore as he backed up and went after the shock collar. Rika didn't move almost as if she was frozen there. Perhaps she was .. the words still shaking her very core. Even the guard that came near her and spoke got no response from her. Enough so that the guard tried to move her away afraid that she had been hurt.
On reaction the girl struggled trying to pull away. "Let me go." she said flatly. She didn't show her eyes but the man continued to try and get her away. "I said let go!" she screamed using her free arm to try and attack him. Her fist hit his face and a sharp sound came. A scream ripped from her throat and she quickly withdrew her hand.
Rika shook a bit. Her hand aching rather bad now as the man withdrew. He started yelling and Rika backed up into the cage. She gasped a bit since that hurt a little. Her hand still cradled against her chest. It hurt really bad and the guard was pissed. "Bitch...you fucking punched me." he hissed darkly. He grabbed onto her again this time hard and sort of dragging.
She cried out some as that was her bad arm. "Let go!" she screamed again at him struggling. Maybe this was what she got for doing this to him. She didn't even know what was going to happen. CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | Did he really mean to hurt her? It was really hard to tell, considering how he was acting. Sure, he got angry from time to time but never that bad. Not with such passion. But did he necessarily intend to hurt her? He thought so at first. She was being really selfish, as bad as she was those many years ago when she'd refused to tell him till it was too late for him to do anything about it. It was like she just wanted him to suffer without giving him a chance to try and stop it. But, seeing her now, he really couldn't find himself wanting to cause her pain. Frankly, it killed him to see her hurt. And he wanted nothing more than to take it all back when he noticed how broken she was at that point. He'd really gone too far. But Tamotsu couldn't figure out how to fix it. And part of him, as childish as it was, still held some resentment for what had happened. It was quite conflicting, leaving him unable to do much aside from offer a simple sorry. He was sorry he'd been so harsh. But he wasn't sure he was sorry for what he'd said. He couldn't deny his feelings like that, right? He'd been unconsciously doing it for far too long anyway.
The guard had approached her then, seeming concerned about her lack of response. He was too, but he found himself growling lowly with each step the man took towards her. Protective, much? It seemed he was starting to regather some of his feelings towards her. He knew these people and he certainly didn't want this guy's hands on her. He was simply lucky that he was hesitant to approach the girl again. That and, well, the iron bars separating them. Course that saving grace wouldn't last long. Especially when things went to shit real quick.
Rika didn't want the guard touching her, struggling to get him to let go. The stupid human didn't listen though, warranting a well deserved punch to the face, something that even surprised the dragon. But the pained scream was enough to snap him out of it. He quickly made his way to the other side of the cage, concern overpowering his guilt for that moment as he was determined to make sure she was okay as well as defend her should the guard try to strike back. He was right for believing such a thing would occur as the man reached out to grab her again, furious now.
- "Bitch...you fucking punched me."
Tamotsu didn't appreciate the way he was talking to her...
The air around them began to strangely come to life, a strong gust of wind coming from absolutely nowhere and lashing right at the guard, causing him to momentarily lose his focus and grip. The dragon urakata's eyes shined a dark red, teeth bared in a very vicious snarl as he managed to wrap his arms around Rika protectively through the bars, holding her steady as he released a very feral roar, the gust picking up completely with his emotions and slamming into the unprepared human and sending him flying back, his body slamming violently into the wall behind him. "Don't ever fucking touch her again..." he continued to growl, his glare cold and determined as he watched for the guard carefully for any threatening movement.
He really couldn't stop himself. He knew the consequences for acting up and was already prepared for the worst. But in his mind, it was worth it. No one was allowed to hurt her, let alone touch her as far as he was concerned. Even if he was one of those people... He didn't expect her to thank him for standing up for her. He probably didn't even deserve it. But he didn't do this to win her favor. He just couldn't stand watching that and wasn't about to let it go any further. If she hated him from this point on, at least he could take pleasure in the fact he'd protected her one last time. His eyes softened at that, so too did the wind around them till it returned to normal, adjusting to his emotional level as always. He'd never had actual control over them, but he was thankful they seemed to work in his favor this time around. Even though it would certainly cause him pain later on.
Tamotsu didn't worry about that now, though. He worried about Rika's well-being. His grip loosened slightly on her, moreso on her injured arm, but would not remove completely. He still wasn't sure about the guard and to be quite honest, he didn't want to let go. He'd only let her go if she tried to struggle, but not until he knew she was absolutely safe. Once the other guards came to investigate, however, that was when the real trouble would start. "You need to get out of here..." he explained low enough for only her to hear. He didn't want her to get hurt any worse.

I CAN TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANNA BE tagged, @doge2 It hurt.. everything felt like it was crashing down on her at once. There was nothing she could do about it and there wasn't anything that could be blamed for this but herself. She had caused all this to happen. Rika had never wanted anything like this and she knew that if only she had fought for him.. then maybe.. just maybe this wouldn't of happened. She knew this was all her fault though.
Her body shook in silent sobs as she took in everything that was going on. Her words becoming choked sobs and cutting off what she was going to say. Rika hadn't wanted to hurt him, but she hadn't been able to protect him. Something she had promised herself that she would do. Tamotsu had been everything to her, and she had let him slip away.
I didn't mean to hurt you. I love you
The words were left unspoken as everything took a turn for the worse. Perhaps this was what she deserved. She had been so caught up in her hurt that the guard was not something she was paying attention to. So when he touched her she took it as an immediate threat. Her hand moved to get him to let go sending a punch to his face.
A cry coming when it broke her hand from her efforts. Real fear began to move through her body as the man seemed totally upset now. There was no way she was getting out of this unscathed. Rika's eyes widened as she quickly backed up into the cage behind her, the broken hand cradled against her chest. She was afraid and it was written on her face.
Rika's eyes shut tight as he cursed at her and she flinched away expecting his next assault. She felt an arm move around her quickly but it wasn't one of violence but protection. Her eyes quickly opened again knowing quickly who it was. "Tamotsu." she whispered as he held her protectively. She was confused as to why he was trying to help.
A odd wind began to pick up and she quickly shut her eyes. Fear was still coursing through her veins. She could feel the wind wiping around the area as her pig tails thrashed wildly against her face and around. A small squeak came from her as she heard the guard's body hit against the wall. Only when the wind began to die once more did she slowly open her eyes.
She could feel his grip loosen some but now release completely. Slowly Rika turned her head to the side so she could see him in her side vision. "Why.. why would you help me. You've already shown me clearly that you hate me." she whispered a few tears still in her eyes. She didn't understand why he would do something like this. Once again he had come to her rescue when she had needed him. She was being saved by him...
She was being saved by him again.
The sound of new guards and his words made her shake a little. Quickly she squirmed enough only to turn and face him again. Her good hand quickly grabbing onto his and intertwining her fingers in his. "No... I'd rather die than let them hurt you. I won't let you slip through my fingers again when I can do something about it. I owe you at least that much... I WANT TO FIGHT FOR YOU TAMOTSU!" she cried.
The guards rushed to the one that had been attacked as she continued with him."I'm sorry..." she whispered for only him to hear. She slowly looked at him a new determination there despite the pain. "I'm sorry it took so long for me to fight.." she said. Rika smiled at him, a smile that was for him only. She looked at their intertwined hands and squeezed his slightly.
Slowly, almost painfully she pulled her hand away from his. She knew he would try to stop her but her determination wouldn't let her back down now. She moved her good hand to wipe away the few tears that were still there. Rika slowly stood to face the guards keeping herself in front of Tamotsu's cage. The guards had composed themselves enough to be pissed at what had happened.
"Move it girl." one hissed at her. Rika didn't budge and inch from in front of Tamotsu's cage. Slowly, and painfully she spread both of her arms out despite the agony in her broken one. "No. I won't let you hurt him, and if you try you will have to go through me first. I'd love to see how your boss would react to you harming a master." she said strong will in her eyes.
Despite everything this was her time to shine and she would not back down. "Excuse me." the guard growled stepping forward. Rika was going to fight for him and she was prepared to give everything for that cause. So she didn't move even as the guard got closer to her. 'This is for you, Tamotsu. I promise... i promise I'll do everything in my power to stop it this time.' CODED BY DUCKIE OF GS

AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, TELL ME WHO YOU THINK IS THE MAN | He hated to see her cry. It didn't take much for him to remember that. It felt like his heart was being torn apart. But he was a stubborn one. He'd say sorry all he could but he couldn't deny the fact he was angry. Less at her and more the world. If anything, his being an urakata was to blame. If he were a human like her, this all might have never happened. Hell, her and her family might have liked him enough to keep him around instead of abandoning him if he were more than some lowly slave. But, the world was just cruel like that in so many ways. But something far more cruel would be to bring her back to him only to tear her away once more. And he wasn't about to let some idiotic brutes do that, even if it cost him his life. Unfortunately for him, she was just as stubborn.
How on earth could he forget?
He had to calm himself. The fact this human even dared to harm her was enough to drive the dragon mad. But he had to remain calm. He certainly didn't want to scare her, let alone accidentally hurt her in all his rage. His abilities had a habit of acting on their own accord. And when he was furious, it was rather hard to tell apart enemy from ally. But luckily for him, having his arms around her calmed him somewhat. Oddly enough, so did her calling his name. He might have offered her a confident smirk if it weren't for the fact he was so focused on making sure not to fuck this up. He might have thrown the guy a little harder than he should have, but as far as he was concerned, his still breathing simply proved it wasn't enough. Words could not describe how much he wanted to kill that man for hurting his angel. Wait... What?
Before he could consider that, the wind had calmed and before he knew it, she had turned to try and face him. Her words clearly confused him by the look on his face. But then, their was a tinge of sadness, his red eyes diverted for a moment to think about his answer before looking back, simply stating, "I don't." He could throw a fit all he wanted but deep down, he didn't think he could ever actually hate her. Get mad at her, sure, think she was the most selfish, stupid, and stubborn assed child in the universe. But he could never see himself hating her. Frankly, he cared about her too much. Perhaps that was why he'd reacted so harshly before. He had cared about her and he still did. So much even he couldn't quite understand it. It just made their separation that much more painful for him, he supposed. And it was what fueled him to protect her still today. And when he was starting to believe she would obey, make his job much more easier, she proved him otherwise.
- "No... I'd rather die than let them hurt you. I won't let you slip through my fingers again when I can do something about it. I owe you at least that much... I WANT TO FIGHT FOR YOU TAMOTSU!"
The words left him rather stunned to say the least. He was speechless, taken aback by what she said. The fact that she was willing to stay and fight for him made him feel something he hadn't felt in a long while. Loved. He supposed she really had meant it. Of course, even then, how could she be so fucking stupid?! Honestly, he appreciated the sentiment, but he wasn't about to let her get herself killed trying to protect him. For fuck's sake, she'd already broken her hand punching the guard. If she didn't run now she was going to die and what good would that do? "Don't be stupid." he growled, though the words sounded more pleading than anything. He really couldn't bare to see her any more hurt. His words seemed to go unnoticed, however, as she apologized for not fighting sooner. That determined look sent a small shiver down his spine. She was really going to do it, wasn't she?
Sure enough, before he could stop her, she pulled away. God-fucking-dammit! He tried to reach down to pull her back. If she wouldn't leave, at the very least he could try to shield her. But no, she didn't even give him that option, standing just out of his reach. And the further he tried to stretch out, the worse the collar would shock back into submission. If only he could shift. He could break out of here easily. He could murder all these people who even considered laying a hand on her. Why the fuck did he have to be so helpless in this situation?
- "No. I won't let you hurt him, and if you try you will have to go through me first. I'd love to see how your boss would react to you harming a master."
She was a lot of trouble, he recalled now. She was just worsening things. Even if she had a point, he doubted they'd care too much. They were all idiots. Every one of them. And he didn't trust a threat of the boss getting to them much. He couldn't fight back, using his powers again, with her in the way, would put her in danger as well. And he couldn't very well make her run away, she was too fucking stupid to listen to reason. There was only one thing he really could do. One thing he was particularly good at.
"What the fuck you doing picking on a girl?" he snarled tauntingly. "That's just low, even for you. I'm a dragon and I'm more of a man than you shit for brains are." he continued, glaring straight at them, relentless as he tried to gather their focus onto him instead. "How about you fight someone your own size? Oh wait! You can't! That's right.. You little bitches have me all locked up tight cause you are too afraid to fight me like a real man. Where the fuck did you damn balls go?" he smirked in a very sinister manner. They were guards. They weren't paid for having brains so he wouldn't put it pass them to fall for his taunts. At least, he hoped so. "Leave the little girl alone before you look even more pathetic than you already do." he finished, cocking his head to the side innocently, putting much emphasis on "leave" hoping she'd understand and get the fuck out of there just in case things did go sour. 'You're not dying today.' he stated mentally. He wasn't about to let her if he could help it.
"Come on then. You aren't scared, are ya? Even the little girl here could come up to my cage without pissing her pants. What does that say about you assholes?" he pressed on, tone getting much more angry as the guard stepped closer. If there was one thing he was good at, it was picking fights. Just don't fail him now.
